Y/N's intentions after school were to just go home and get some rest. At least, that was the plan till a girl named Marinette invited her to join her and some other classmates at the art room. "It's a perfect opportunity to meet some new people" is what Marinette expressed to the new girl.

After getting her mom's permission, Y/N was taken to the art room by Marinette. There she saw a bunch of kids from her science class, including Nathaniel. She would have talked to him, but Marinette dragged her to meet the other kids.

Marinette introduced Y/N to Alix, Juleka, Rose, and Marc. "So, now that you've met everyone, feel free to do your own thing. There's no judgement, and if there is, it's all in good fun." With that, Marinette said goodbye and went to a work station to work on her fashion designs.

Hesitantly, Y/N walked up to Nathaniel. During her stay so far, he didn't notice, or at least acknowledge her. He seemed to be really into his work. She silently peered past his shoulder, gazing at his drawings.

There was a comic book she hadn't seen before, along with a couple of finished drawings strewn besides Nathaniel's shoulder. Without making her presence known, Y/N continued admiring his drawings. They were so fluid and detailed. "Wow...", she whispered absentmindedly.

Nathan hadn't realized somebody was there, so he had gotten startled. "Oh my goodness!" He turned around and saw Y/N staring back with eyes wide open, like a deer in headlights. He turned back around to see if his drawing was damaged. Luckily, it wasn't. "It's okay", he quietly reassured to Y/N.

Y/N was worried that she might've messed him up and that he'd hate her. Lucky for her, that wasn't the case. Nathan pulled out a sitting stool for her and invited her to sit with him. She accepted politely. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to scare you. For what it's worth, I think your drawings are incredible."

"Thank you", Nathan glanced up at Y/N. "I'm currently working on a comic book with my friend Marc. He's the genius behind all the stories. I just do the illustrations." He set the comic book in front of her. "You can read it if you want."

Y/N thanked him and began reading the first edition of the comic book.

Minutes later, Y/N set the comic book down. "This is brilliant. Nathaniel, you and Marc are geniuses. Honestly, everything blends together so nicely. The romance, the adventure, and the drama. I love it!" She stopped gushing and blushed once she realized Marc and Nathan were both staring. "Sorry", she apologized meekly.

Nathan chuckled. "It's okay. We appreciate it and we're glad you like our comic book." He took one of the other drawings that he had finished. "Ladybug inspires me so much. She's my muse. Sometimes, I wonder if she's ever read my comic book."

Y/N thought his sentiment was sweet but she was puzzled. "So, this Ladybug is a real person? Like an actual superhero?" Obviously, while Ladybug was Paris' heroine, a foreigner like Y/N wouldn't know that.

"Oh, right! I totally forgot. Ladybug and Chat Noir are the city's heroes. They're incredible and they always save the day." Now it was Nathaniel that was gushing over the masqueraded heroes. Y/N could see how much he admired them and it made her happy to see that. He was just as embarrassed as she was previously once he finished his speech. "My bad. I didn't mean to go off."

Y/N laughed lightly. "No, it's okay. I understand your admiration. Ladybug and Chat Noir seem like really great heroes. I can't wait to see them one day." Her phone buzzed; it was her mom. It was just a text message regarding not being late to help unpack. "Ah, shoot."

Nathan raised a brow. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just have to get going. I need to help finish packing and stuff. No biggie", Y/N said after gathering her things.

"Oh, okay. Marc and I are going to the Louvre this Friday. Would you like to come with us? It's okay if you don't." Nathan trailed off at the last sentence, mentally asking himself as to why he was so bold with the invitation.

"That would be awesome, Nathaniel. I'd love to." Y/N smiled brightly. "It was lovely meeting everyone here. I'll see you all tomorrow." She waved goodbye to her classmates and left, eager for the weekend.
