Divya's POV

" There she is." My mom said as she found me standing there. " Come here, Divu!!! Look who is here!!!" Amma said so excitedly. I glared at the person who was sitting with my mom. He smirked at me. I gritted. Urrrrrrghhhh!!! Stupid!!!

" What are you doing here?" I asked him at once.

" Divu!!!" Mom said. " Where is your manners, girl?" She asked me. I gritted didn't say anything.

" Amma, aapne issko ander kyun aane dia?" (Mom, why have you let him come in?) I asked her.

" Divu!!!" Mom said. " Unbelievable!!"

" Amma!!" I tried to explain but she stopped me at once.

" Come here." Mom said. I sighed inwardly.

" Why are you here?" I asked him directly.

" Relax, I am not here to ask your hand in marriage." He said chuckling and I rolled my eyes.

" Funny!!!" I said to him.

" Yeah, very." He said.

" He is here to return your passport. You left it in the office." Mom said and he showed my passport. I tried to take it from him but he shook his head.

" It's not for free, Ms. Kashyup." He said.

" It's mine." I said.

" Yeah, yours but it seems you don't even need it." He said.

" What rubbish!!!" I said.

" Divu!!!" Mom warned me. I sighed. Has this stupid casted spell on my mom!!! I gritted.

" Amma, mehman ayee hai gher pai. Aap abhi haha bethi ho?!! Unbelievable!!!" (Mom, there is a guest at home and you are still sitting here?! Unbelievable.) I said to my mom who is too hospitable to the guests. She keeps saying all the time: Atithi Devo Bhavo.

" Haan, Divu. You are right." (Yes, Divu. You are right.) " Ian, have dinner with us tonight. Divu, don't let him go before that." Mom said as she went to the kitchen. I chuckled.

" But Mrs. Kashyup-" he was saying but I stopped him at once.

" Ok, Amma. No worries." I shouted and he looked at me weirdly.

" Bhai kaha hai aapki?" (Where is your brother?) Mom asked from the kitchen.

" Sanam ko gher chhodne gye." (Went to leave Sanam at home.) I said.

" Thik hai phir." (Alright then.) She said. I turned to my boss who was looking at our family pictures on the wall. I cleared my throat. He looked at me and chuckled.

" I thought you are the only kid of your parents." He said.

" You thought it right." I said.

" Then those to girls... Your friends?" He asked me and I found him pointing the photo which we snapped on the day of Diya's wedding. We went to walk around in the morning. Diya, Chhoti and me. We snapped the picture that time.

" My cousins." I said to him.

" Oh!!!" He said. " They looks alike you." He said.

" Obviously they would. They are my cousins." I said to him.

" Yeah, you have said that once and I have heard that as well." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" Let's come to the point. Why is the great Ian Kingston here at my home?" I asked him.

" Told you once that your passport." He said to me.

" You could have called me." I said to him.

" Yeah, I did it. But if only once you would think it's necessary to pick the call up then it would do." He said. I quickly searched for my phone. Oh, shit!!! I might have left it at home.

" Hmmm... But it wasn't that necessary. You could return it back tomorrow." I said to him.

" You might need that anytime." He said. I sighed.

" Alright." I said. " Now give it to me." I said to him.

" No, ma'am. Not that easily." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" What now?" I asked him.

" Say sorry." He said.

" What?!!" I asked him.

" Say sorry this instant." He said to me and I gritted.

" Keep it to yourself. I don't need it." I said to him and he chuckled.

" Alright. As you wish." He said. Urrrrrrghhhh!!!

" Why do I have to say sorry to you?" I asked him.

" Because you have fought with me today." He said to me.

" That's because you acted like a moron all the day." I said to him.

" Act like a what?" He narrowed his eyes at me.

" You heard me once." I said.

" No, I didn't. Say that once again." He said to me.

" I said nothing. Literally nothing." I said to him.

" Amma, Appa kaha hai?" (Mom, where is Dad?) I asked my mom.

" Harish k gher gye." (Went to Harish's place) Mom said.

Harish is my dad's best friend. He creates big dramas even if he has a bit fever. He acts like he is dying. So, this drama is going on from long back. And I am sure it is going to remain long ahead from now as well. There is nothing to get worried then. Everything is ok.

" Alright then." I said. I turned to my stupid boss who was looking at me weirdly.

" What?" I asked him.

" Nothing." He said.

" Give my passport." I said to him.

" Not until you say sorry." He said.

" It was your fault not mine." I said to him.

" Still you have to say sorry if you want this back." He said. I gritted.

" You are a stupid and the biggest moron of the era. You heard me?" I said to him.

" Yes, I did but that didn't help you." He said.

" I am not going to say sorry." I said. "Ever."

" Ok." He said.

I was going to say something more but the landline started to ring which stopped us at once. I stood up and picked it up at once.

" Hello!! Who is that?" I asked that person.

" Divu!!" I heard Anna's voice.

" Anna!!" (Bro) I somehow sensed that tension going on the other side from his voice. " Kya hua? Saab thik to hai na?" (What happened? Is everything ok?) I asked him.

" No. Sanam's grandma has got a heart attack. She is in hospital." He said to me.

" Kya!!!" (What!!!) I said.

" Haan, tum ek kaam Karo hospital aajao. Address text ker dia maine tumhe." (Yes, you come to the hospital. I have send you the address already.) He said as he hung the call up. I looked at the phone weirdly.

No time to think about the bad news anymore. Sanam need me there with her.
