Divya's POV
" What?!" He asked me.
" Why are you not picking the call up?" I asked him as his phone was vibrating time to time.
" It's not important." He said checking the magazine. I rolled my eyes.
" And this is important?" I asked him pointed at the magazine. He nodded.
" More than attending that call. Trust me." He said without looking at me. I twisted my lips as his phone started to ring again.
" Marianne." I said to him as I found that name on the screen.
" Whatever." He said and I sighed.
" Stop being arrogant all the time." I said to him. He took his phone and switched it off. I looked at him shaking my head.
" Why are you acting like this all the time?" I asked him.
" Who is this girl?" He asked me pointing at the picture of Katrina Kaif. I sighed. I knew that he wants to change the topic.
" She is a Bollywood actress. Her name is Katrina Kaif." I said. " She is pretty and beautiful. Isn't she?" I asked him and he rolled his eyes. " What?!" I asked him.
" There are girls more beautiful than her." He said and I sighed deeply.
" I didn't say no. Did I?" I asked him. He chuckled and mumbled something under his breath which I couldn't get. " What are you saying? Cursing me?" I asked him and he looked at me smilingly. I sighed.
He looks cute when he smiles. But don't let yourself flow on that smile. He is a stupid inside but has a beautiful heart as well. Damn!! I am hell confused about him. I just... Urrrrrrghhhh!!! What's wrong with me?!! I shook my head to get some sense in me.
" Why would I curse you?" He asked me.
" I don't know. I just guessed that you did it." I said to him.
" Stop pretending all the time." He said.
" Whatever." I said.
" Hmm... I see her everyday while going to office." He said and I looked at him weirdly.
" I didn't know that Katrina Kaif lives that area anyways." I said to him and he chuckled.
" There is something called billboard. You heard that word ever?" He mocked and I rolled my eyes.
" So you like her?! She is single though. You can try anyways." I said winking at him. He raised his eyebrows. " She will be a bit older than you I think. That doesn't matter. Does it?" I asked him.
" A bit?" He asked me.
" How old are you?" I asked him.
" You guess." He said.
" You should be 24 or 25." I said. He chuckled.
" I will 26 soon." He said.
" Almost?! Hmm... that means your birthday is near. When is that?" I asked him.
" You find it out by yourself." He said and I rolled my eyes.
" If you are 26 then she is 10 years older than you." I said to him. He rolled his eyes.
" Very good choice." He said and I twisted my lips.
" Why were you asking about her then?" I asked him.
" I saw Ganga first time standing near that billboard this why." He rolled his eyes.
" Oh!!" I just could say that.
" Hmm... How famous she is around?" He asked me.
" Very very. You know I had grown up watching her movies. She is awesome." I said and he chuckled.
" How old were you when she started her acting career?" He asked me.
" I was 7." I said to him.
" Little girl." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes.
" Please, get a girlfriend and get busy with her." I said to him and he chuckled.
" I am trying to do that but don't know how to tame her." He said and I rolled my eyes.
" No girl will be agreed to be your girlfriend if you keep acting arrogant. Girls doesn't like that." I said to him.
" Yeah, they like the chocolate boys." He said and I rolled my eyes.
" I didn't mean that." I said to him.
" I can't change myself. If someone hates me then I don't have anything to do with that. I can't make people change their views anyways and neither their hatred is an issue. I don't care anyways." I said to him.
" Ok. Whatever. But if you keep this arrogance on then the girl you like will not be impressed. She will not agree to marry you." I said and he smirked.
" If she doesn't agree then I will simply kidnap her and force her to marry me. Don't worry about it." He said and I looked at him irritatingly.
" You are just impossible. It's hard to win over you in any topic." I said.
" Not just hard. It's impossible." He said and I sighed. It's really impossible. He just is impossible.
" Whatever." I said to him. He chuckled.
" Yeah, right." He said. " You go sleep. There is an extra bed here." He said.
" No. I am fine. I have slept for 3 hours at home." I said to him. " You go sleep. You can't stay wide awake all night. You have to go to office tomorrow as well." I said. He chuckled.
" I am used to it. No worries." He said and opened his laptop. He was checking something on it.
" You are a workaholic." I said to him.
" Yeah. I agree with you." He said and switched on his phone.
" You should rest for awhile. You had an eventful day today." I said to him.
" I am used to this life. Nothing to happen to me." He said and I sighed.
" Why don't you try to live a normal life?" I asked him.
" I don't have any reason to live a normal life. This why." He said and I sighed deeply.
" You should..." I was about to say something but his phone started to vibrate again. I sighed.
Who calls someone this hour of night!!! It's already 12. Oh!! I have forgotten that we are talking about Ian Kingston the workaholic person. His employees, associates and friends knows that he is available this time because he is not at all sleeping at this hour.
" Your phone is ringing." I said to him.
" Pick it up." He said.
" Me?!!" I asked him.
" Is there anyone else?" He asked me. I rolled my eyes.
" It's your phone." I said to him.
" So what?" He asked me.
" But you should pi-" I couldn't finish as he spoke up at once.
" Pick it up, Divya." He said and I kept looking at him for awhile.
Not just because it was the first time I heard my first name from him but also for his perfect spelling of my name. Whenever I go abroad people never ever pronounce my name perfectly. They keeps doing errors all the time. But he did it perfectly.
" Divya!!" He called me again.
" Huh!!!" I said.
" The phone." He said. I nodded coming back to reality. I picked the phone up. But before I could say anything someone spoke up from the other side before that.
" Happy birthday, Ian." Someone said and I was shocked. I looked at Mr. Kingston weirdly. I didn't have any idea when he was saying that his he was going to be 26 soon. I mean I didn't think it was that fast. Very soon in fact.
