Kareena asked Zoe to meet her in the first year music room once lectures were done, she shared with her the very exciting news as well
"So have you decided what song you'll be doing? How you'll do it? When is this thing anyway?"
"I have no idea, to any of your questions...to be honest, the only song in my head is mirrors"
"So get it out of your system" Zoe smiled
"If only it were that easy" Kareena sighed knowing she was now talking about more than just the song
"Get over here" Zoe called out from the stage, she was seated at the piano and played the first notes of Mirrors, it was beautiful as Kareena imagined it
"You still did the arrangement!" Kareena grinned whilst joining her on stage
"Couldn't resist, now let's get it out both of our systems"
Kareena happily obliged, they both got lost in the very slowed down yet just as powerful version of the song
Liam entered the room without either of them noticing him, he made his way closer, unable to shift his gaze from Kareena
When the song was done, Liam gave a slow clap, "That's definitely going to tug on heart strings"
"You think so" Kareena asked with no interest
"With your voice, I know so" a hint of sparkle in his eyes
Zoe put her head down, pretending to be reading her music sheets
"Oh yeah, is that what you tell all the girls? Or is it just Rachel and myself?" Kareena said coldly
The sparkle was gone, "I knew you were avoiding me. You missed our rehearsal"
"Don't flatter yourself, I had better things to do"
"Better things like rehearse the song we're doing?" a bit of the sparkle returned, knowing he had caught her out
"What do you want Liam?"
"Right now, nothing much. Came to congratulate you, Miss T told me you made the cut for the competition. Tomorrow however, I will be taking up your time at the party" with that, he turned to leave
"We weren't invited to any party" Kareena called out
"Consider that your invite, compliments of the golden boy himself"
"We're not interested"
Liam stopped but didn't turn back, "You'll be there and I'll find you"
Once he was gone, Kareena looked at Zoe who shrugged her response
