“Is Liam joining us for lunch?” Zoe asked
Kareena shook her head
Zoe looked at Mark and Kareena noticed
“We did fix things” Kareena laughed, “He just had work he wanted to finish up”
Zoe laughed and nodded, “I’m glad...I was mostly hoping I didn’t make a mistake in sending him to you”
Kareena hugged Zoe as they walked, “Not at all”
The three of them arrived at the academy cafe and found a table, “What can I order you guys?” Mark asked
“I’ll take a cappuccino” Kareena said
“I’ll have the same” Zoe smiled
“Coming right up” Mark said as he went to place the order
“You guys are the absolute cutest!” Kareena teased
Zoe blushed and instantly changed the topic, “Can you believe there’s only two more weeks till semester break...that means we just have the rest of this week and next week to prepare for our first semester exams...”
“You worry way too much. Besides next week ends with a long weekend and no lectures mean more time to study. You’re going to ace the exams anyway so calm down” Kareena said
“I’m going to make us a study timetable...” Zoe nodded to herself
“Really?”
“Yeah...don’t you want to study together?”
“Of course, just didn’t think anyone actually made use of those things” Kareena said with a laugh
Zoe started talking about something when Kareena’s attention went to the cafe entrance, Renay, Cole, Luca and Seth walked in, all laughing amongst themselves. They stood in the queue, lost in their conversation but Kareena couldn’t look away. Mark was standing aside waiting to collect his order, Renay went first- “Can I get a white hot chocolate, one latte...”
Luca chipped in, “I want a latte as well”
“Make that two lattes” Renay corrected, “Seth?”
“Can I get a coffee please” Seth addressed the waitress, who was all smiles
Mark greeted them and they spoke for a bit until the order was ready, Mark grabbed his three cups, nodded his leave and walked back to the girls, Kareena noticed Seth glance in their direction and looked down immediately, she waited a few seconds before looking back up, but by then, Seth and his friends picked up their orders and were leaving
“Kareena!” Zoe called out
Kareena looked at Zoe, “Huh?”
“Do you want any sugar in yours?” Zoe asked whilst pointing at her cup
Kareena shook her head

The rest of the week flew by without Kareena seeing Seth or his friends; she spent time with either Liam or Zoe and Mark. Even Chris, Rachel and Zac seemed to have disappeared
“Hey sis” Kareena greeted as she sat down at the table
Maleah smiled at her, “I already ordered for you”
Kareena instantly took a sip of her beverage
“So...is everything alright?” Maleah asked
“Everything is great”
