Seth leaned on the balcony, lost in thought when Renay approached, “What are you thinking about?”

Seth looked at her, “What do you think?”

“You want to talk about it?”

“What good would that do?”

Renay shrugged, “Depends what it is we’re talking about”

“I’m not the right person for this job Renay...”

“You’re kidding right? There’s a reason you were chosen for this, you’re the best person for it”

“In any other case, sure...but it’s different this time”

“Because of the prophecy?”

Seth stared ahead of him and took a breath

“I get why you feel the way you do...and I’m sorry you have to put your feelings in a deep dark hole, but this is probably the most important thing to everyone right now and because you’re the best at what you do, the responsibility falls on you...”

Seth smiled, “I've been doing it since birth”

“What?”

“Putting my feelings in a deep, dark hole...”

“I’m sorry...Did I overstep?”

Seth laughed to himself, “Not at all...anyway, did Maleah tell you anything?”

Renay nodded, “She said that Liam has asked to speak with her”

Seth looked back at Renay

“Don’t worry, she knows exactly what to say. I still can’t believe it though...”

“I can’t believe they actually thought this idea would be the best”

“There has to be something we can do...to avoid all of this”

Seth stayed silent

"Can't you do something about this?" Renay asked with a frown

"Nothing except watch..."

The weekend flew by quickly, so did the lectures on Monday and once they were done, Liam made his way to Maleah’s office and knocked on the door

“Come in”

Liam smiled as he entered, “Is it always so hard to get an appointment with you or is just because you didn’t want to see me?”

“Please close the door”

Liam obliged before taking a seat

“I’m not too sure what it is I can help you with Liam, you aren’t in any of my classes anymore so I have to see students who are before students who aren’t”

“Surely you can make an exception for me” Liam smirked

“What is it you wanted to talk to me about?” Maleah asked

“Your sister”

Maleah shifted uneasily

“Relax” Liam smiled, “I’m not here to sell you out”

“I’m not sure I understand Liam”

“Really?”

Maleah looked down, “What do you need?”

Liam ran his fingers through his hair, “I want to tell Kareena the truth and I need your help to do it”

Maleah’s eyes widened, “You can’t do that...”
