The next day, Kareena tried to call Liam but it went straight to voicemail...again. She took a walk and decided to find Zoe but just by her luck, found Rachel instead
Rachel rolled her eyes and changed route immediately, Kareena nodded to herself and ran after her, “Rachel, wait up...Rachel! Wait!”
Rachel stopped and turned to face her, she looked as beautiful as ever, “Liam’s already cleared everything up...There’s no need for us to talk because I really don’t want to be seen with the likes of you unless I absolutely have to”
“Why would you hurt yourself?”
Rachel rolled her eyes and turned to leave again
“Rachel!” Kareena called out again
Rachel turned back, annoyed, “What?”, she froze and eyes widened in shock at the sight just past Kareena
Kareena followed her gaze and spotted Mr. Grey walking and talking with the roguishly handsome Seth Phoenix
“Is that...Seth?”
“Yeah...” Kareena nodded
“And Liam conveniently isn’t here” Rachel said with a frown
“If he calls...” Kareena started
“He won’t...not where he is”, Rachel then walked away
Kareena turned back to see Seth walking across the courtyard and Mr. Grey gone, Kareena caught up, “Hey...Seth”, before she could stop herself, she realised that he heard her and turned to face her
Once again, her heart rate accelerated
He crossed his arms and waited for her to talk
“Weird question...and I don’t really know how to ask it...you probably know Rachel right?”
He didn’t answer, just waited for her to continue because he knew she wasn’t done
“Why is she so surprised to see you here? I mean I heard you’re a returning student...but she seemed too stunned...”
“You should ask her that”, his voice once again, entrancing her
She watched him uncross his arms and noticed a North Star tattoo on the outer side of his left wrist
“That’s an amazing tattoo, you must really love your house” Kareena said with a smile
Seth looked past Kareena and saw Chris now staring at them, he looked surprised too. Kareena noticed this, “I’m guessing I should ask him too”, she said with a laugh
“I’ll see you around Kareena”
“He remembered my name” Kareena thought to herself, “Not if I see you first”, she said with an awkward laugh once realising just how weird that sounded
