I reached up and snatched Jungkook's hand away from my mouth, frowning deeply at him. With the chaos and things not being explained, my nerves were starting to come on edge with annoyance and a bit of fear. A million things were racing through my mind.

"Escape?" I hissed at him, looking over to the crevice that we had slipped through. The blue looked ghostly against the wall. "What are we getting away from?"

"There's an intruder in the base," he spoke rapidly, his eyes going to the entrance, too. His eyes seemed to be showing of a million things that were going on inside his brain. "I would usually help out with getting the person out, but Namjoon appointed you to me and I can't let you out of my sight for multiple reasons."

"So we're just going to sit here?" I said, my heart starting to pound. The overstimulating sounds and lights were driving me insane. "Just wait for the storm to pass?"

"No, we're getting out of here," he turned back to me, glaring a little. "We need to get to a safe location before I can figure out what's happening. I have a strong suspicion, though, for one person in particular."

"How are we getting out?"

Jungkook paused for a second, his hand lifting up and tapping the wall while thinking. "With my abilities and yours combined."

"If I use my powers, it's all over for us," I said, shaking my head vigorously. "You understand I have trouble controlling them in this environment, right? And that I can't control them coming out?"

"We can still make it work," Jungkook said. He got up from his seat for a moment and peeked out into the stairwell for a moment. It was like he had heard something that wasn't there. "All you need is just for someone to fight you, right?"

"I'm not fighting you," I argued. "Even though I have trouble with my powers, yours have to work. What even are your powers?"

"They're not as impressive as yours."

I gave him a stare that said something along the lines of "Are we going there right now?".

Jungkook sighed, rolling his eyes a little. He started to get up a little, himself having to duck under the rise of stairs. All of a sudden he disappeared out of thin air, it almost like he went into mist and was no longer there.

"Jungkook?" I called out, looking out into the stairs. My voice echoed with the siren that blared in my ears, it becoming annoying.

"Shut up," a voice hissed at me, Jungkook coming back in the mist once more where he had disappeared into. He glared down at me as he said, "It's just invisibility. I also have x-ray vision, but it has limitations."

"Your x-ray vision could help us," I pointed out. "We could spot where the danger is."

"It doesn't work like that," Jungkook sighed, peeking his head out of the place we were hiding at. "It can only go through one wall at a time, limiting to a foot deep, and the people I can see through the wall are just blobs. They have no definite shape."

"That screws things up."

Jungkook looked back at me, raising his eyebrows up. "Are you ready to fight me then?"

I bit down on my lip, seeing no other option out of the situation we were in. Jungkook could easily slip away with his invisibility, but he couldn't do that with me. If I was able to trigger my abilities, then I had the fighting chance of getting out and not hide and wait.

"The energy is up high enough that, if you just throw me across the floor, they'll come on," I said quietly, pressing a palm to my forehead for a second. I didn't like the words that were coming out of my mouth. "Just . . . be careful."

This seemed to make Jungkook freeze, but he sucked in a deep breath and nodded.

Before I knew it, something grabbed onto my shirt and threw me away from the hole and into the wall from across. A choked cry escaped me as I tried to bite it back, my body crumpling to the ground. I was just thankful that my neck wasn't hit.

With the intensity of the room all around me, the sirens caused the hot anger and reaction to pour through my veins. The light reminded me of the street at night and how eerie it could be. Faces flashed in front of my eyes, gruesome images following behind. The energy was fueling the sudden flame, my limbs shooting through with heat and discomfort.

A crash of a door woke me up from the nightmare.

I got to my feet quickly, looking around to find that Jungkook had left me. The fear started to flood through me as a large voice boomed from above. The caged animal inside me clawed at the wall behind me, the back of my neck burning brighter than the rest of my body.

"Y/N, meet me at the top," I heard Jungkook whisper through the air, him now invisible. And that's where he left me.

My hands started to shake as I pushed myself away from the wall. The past training experiences I had helped me learn to control the overwhelming feelings inside me, but now everything turned different. The new stimulants were creating a new surrounding that was making me confused and overwhelmed.

The last wail of the siren set me off. With my shaking body, I completely pushed away from the wall and started up the stairs in a mad dash, taking each by three or four at a time to head up faster. My jumps felt powered more than they usually were when charged, the new found adrenaline discovering more ways to make me even more of a villain and/or hero.

I saw them coming, I knew I did. I didn't pick up their details, though, as once they came one by one that I just threw them over my shoulder and let them tumble down the stairs like they were nothing. My whole body was becoming a flame by then, the sirens becoming louder and mixing with the new bodies yelling and crying out in pain.

I never even knew I got to the top of the stairs until I broke through a door, being blinded by the bright streetlights that lit the new night. My eyes squinted closed, an untamed roar escaping my throat as I practically crumpled to the ground with everything so powerful and burning and just chaos.

Before I could hit the ground, someone grabbed onto me. They felt familiar, which made me stop my struggling once their hands landed on me. As they held onto me, they said, "Come on. I know you still have the strength in you to power up onto the buildings. We gotta go now. You can breathe once we get there. Just a little bit more."

Jungkook's voice made the overwhelmed side of me disappear and leave the burning fury and pain to me. My legs started to regain their strength as I started to stand up on my own. It was painful, but once I did, I launched off, Jungkook clinging onto me for dear life.

I never knew it, but I had us land on a four story building, something I had never been able to land on from ground level. Jungkook let go of me as I stumbled forward, collapsing on my knees and hugging my body with my forehead pressed against the rough concrete surface. A sob choked out from my throat, a convulsion splintering through my dying, cold body from the once fire that courses through my veins.

Jungkook never said anything as I cried a little, trying to regain myself again. It was only a few minutes later he murmured, "Shit. You really do have some power moves."
