Rain is thinking how the hell did Alex start to be attached too much to Jem. "Alex!"
"Yow?"
"I have a question."
"What about?"
"Hmmm, did you really fall for Jem? Or is it just infatuation?"
"Woah, out of the blue huh. Well, I started to like when I first saw her. I felt like I found my soulmate, my partner, the love of my life."
"Haha, that quick?"
"Maybe, we had deep conversation about life when I slept over to her condo. I am so happy that night, I felt like I am in a perfect place, a perfect time with the perfect person. Gets mo? Basta, I know that I am happiet with her."
"What are you going to do now? You know that Jem is in a relationship."
"I'm not quite sure, I know that Jem is happy. She waited for that relationship a long time ago. Of course I don't want to be a heartbreaker."
"Ikr. So what's gonna be the plan? Are we gonna decline Jem's invitation all the time?"
"You can go alone instead Rain."
"What no, I want to go with you."
"Ahhh, so how can I move on?"
"Basta, I'll make reasons nalang."
"Sounds like a plan."
It's the last quarter of their Senior year. They'll be having an out of town retreat. "Okay, class listen! We will be having out retreat 2 weeks from now, I want you to let your parents sign the retreat waiver. Alex, please distribute this to the class." Teacher
"Yes, Miss Castro."
Alex is distributing the waivers, when she handed the paper to Jem. Jem held her hand and asked "Are you feeling better now?" Alex just nodded and smiled at her. It is obvious that Jem is still worried about Alex. She felt something has changed. She wrote this on a piece of paper and handed it to Rain, "Can we talk later?" Rain wrote back "Yes, sure."
Break time. Rain and Jem meet at the roof top of the building. "Rain, thanks for coming. I just wanted to ask if Alex is okay, I mean something has changed." Jem hugged Rain, "I just want this to get out of my chest."
"It's okay Jem. Just relax."
They sat on a bench. "I am not in the position to speak in behalf of Alex. I think you guys should talk."
"I know but she really cold towards me, she not answering my calls and text messages."
"Don't worry Jem, I can help you with that."
"Thank you Rain."
