Why can't someone just kill these people? I read the letter for the fifth time. It had arrived today. The Casper's had enough money to hire a lawyer and file for legal guardianship of Mazey. Mazey didn't even know them. They visited when she was just born Joanna's bastard brother stole all the money in my purse and a ticket I had to get a free coffee. They asked her for money saying that their 'house' was foreclose and they needed instant cash and didn't know where to turn.

So Joanna took pity and she wanted them out of her life so I gave the three thousand and then her brother stole the rest. A week later her mother was in the hospital from heroin overdose. After that she cut all connections to them. So I know why they want to have Mazey. If they get Mazey I would be forced to send money every month for all of Mazey's needs and no doubt they would get high off her allowance.

So when this letter came I wasn't shocked I expected it but not so soon. They didn't want Mazey they didn't love her like I did. It's been two weeks since Eric and I spoke again about adopting Mazey and it seems like right now adopting her was the right thing to do.

"Hey Emma can you meet me for lunch?" I asked. She wasn't my official lawyer but she works in family court and she's exactly what I need.

"Sure. Where?" She asked.

"At the hospital. I can't leave I'm on the clock." I told her and she laughed.

"I'll be there in twenty minutes."

"Okay bye." I said and hung up. I went up to Gynaecology looking for Trish. She was in her office looking over some papers. "My life is like a bloody train station." I slumped down in one of her chairs.

"Sup doc?" She asked. I threw the letter on her desk and she read it. "Those bastards." She fumed.

"I know right. I know all they want is money." I said.

"Why don't you just pay them off?" She asked.

"If I do that they will keep coming back like the vultures they are." I told her.

"So what are you going to do?" She asked.

"I don't know yet." I sighed.

"I have shovels." She said.

"Why would I need shovels?" I asked.

"To bury them." She said in an obvious tone.

"We are not going to kill them. Then again." I thought about it. If I murdered them no one would really care if two crack heads were found with their throats slit or find a needle in their arm. Would they suspect me? I did threaten them in front of a lot of people. The heroin overdose is better, because it could easily be rule as overdose and I wouldn't even have to lift a finger. No I mustn't think like that. "No I can't even though I want to." I said.

"You were thinking about it, weren't you?" She smiled knowingly.

"Yes and now I feel bad." I sighed. "I have lunch with a lawyer in the cafeteria." I told her getting up.

"Wait I'm coming." She packed up her papers and stuffed them in a draw. We walked to the cafeteria and we waited for Emma to come. She wasn't dressed all lawyer like she was in a pink sundress and she had the baby with her. I waved at her and she came over to me. I stood and hugged her.

"Emma this is Trish, Trish this is Emma." I did the introductions fast.

"How do you do?" Emma said to Trish.

"I'm good." She smiled.

"Look at the baby. Can I hold him?" I asked her.

"You're a doctor he's a baby of course you can you can even give him a medical." She laughed. I scooped up the baby and cradled him.
