The ring was back on and he was complaining about how the couch was uncomfortable and it damaged his back. I listened to him pop his muscles every morning until he could come back to bed. We didn't have sex his penis was still blistered and Trish and Bryan skipped on the Justice of the Peace wedding they were going to get married after the baby was born.

It had been a month now and Eric and I were in marital bliss. Doing it all over the house it had become easier after the fifth time. People still didn't know we were married and I liked it like that sometimes. I didn't like that we couldn't hold hands while we were together.

I was coming down with a bug I couldn't keep anything down. Like right now me sitting in front of the toilet wasn't how I wanted to spend my day off I wanted to sleep in. Eric was at work Mazey was at school I needed the time to just relax and catch up on some reading and sleep but that wasn't happening. It stopped and I got up flushing the toilet and going back to bed. I laid across the bed and dozed for a few minutes, but I had to jump up and to the toilet.

My phone ringed and I picked it up. "Are you feeling any better?" He asked. When he left I was doing the same thing I had been doing all morning.

"Yes." I lied. My throat was raw from all the vomiting.

"Are you sure you didn't eat something bad?" He asked concerned.

"All I ate yesterday was that strawberry pie." I told him.

"Maybe that's it." He said hopefully.

"Maybe. If that's the case then I'm never buying from that place again." I said resting my head on the toilet.

"That must be it." He said happy that we had come up with a logical reason as to why I was vomiting like crazy.

"Go back to work." I told him.

"Call me if you need anything." He said.

"Yes Eric I will." I said and we hung up. The vomiting had stopped and I was up and ready for the next day. I puked once in the early morning but that was it. Eric and I moved in sync getting Mazey to school and us to work. I took some medicine and went through half my day okay. I had a patient her father was a mean man abusive even.

"Mr. Kurt, I'm Dr. Gold I will be Kylie's doctor." I told him looking over her chart.

"I don't want her." He yelled at me. "I want a grown up doctor." He said.

"I'm the head of department." I told him. "Your daughter will be in great hands." I tried to reassure him.

"No I want an older doctor." He yelled. I turned to one of my residents.

"Get Dr. Stein." I said. "Okay a different doctor is coming to take your daughters case." I told him handing the chart to an intern and they waited for Dr. Stein. Dr. Stein came and I watched him explain the procedure of kidney transplant to him. Dr. Stein came out and smiled at me.

"Dr. Gold are you okay?" He asked. "He's a mean bastard." He looked at the man who was yelling on his phone.

"I guess he's worried about his child." I tried to view it from his point of view.

"Speaking of children how is your little one?"

"She's giving trouble as usual but she's a peach." I spoke about Mazey-Ann.

"When are you planning on having one of your own?" He asked.

"Who knows?" I shrugged and placed a hand on my stomach. The constant vomiting, the tiredness, the weird appetite. I couldn't be. "I'll see you later Dr. Stein." I said and went to the clinic and got a pregnancy test. I peed on the stick and paced the bathroom. "It's says to wait five minutes." I repeated I had thirty seconds left. I pulled the stick out of my pocket and looked at it. Two blue line means you're pregnant and it had two blue lines. "I'm pregnant." I smiled. Wait sometimes these things give false positives.
