"And Agent Blake is leading it." Fury said before spinning back around and looking at the monitor. "You're all dismissed. Agent Blake, I will reach out to you soon."
Everyone began to file out of the room, Tony giving me a look on the way out. Steve gently patted my shoulder before grabbing my hand, mentioning something about us leaving.
Fury wants me to lead the mission. I'm the newest Avenger - and he wants me to lead the mission to find and probably kill my ex-boyfriend. I should be happy that Fury chose me to lead it. He must trust me and he wants me to show them how strong and suited for the Avengers I am. He wants me to lead this important mission - when there's way more suitable people who could do it. Steve, Tony, Natasha, hell even Clint, can lead a team better than I can. "Yo, Emily!" I hear, seeing a object go towards my head. I lift up a hand, pausing the object in mid air.
Okay, I didn't know I could do that, too.
I move my hand down, dropping the object on the ground. Steve and I walk towards the voice, seeing Sam and Clint standing, oddly quiet. I lean down, picking the football off the ground. Leaning down, I give them a confused look. The boys should know that they shouldn't be playing ball in the house. "Sam wanted to play!" Clint says before Sam pushes his shoulder, going to say something before stopping. It's always Sam.
"Just try to not hit anyone, some of the guys aren't quite as forgiving as I am." I give them the ball back before I grab Steve's hand, pulling him to the elevator. "Boys will be boys."
Steve gives me a look before holding up my hand. "I didn't know you had telekinesis, too." I look down at my hand before shrugging. I didn't either. The doors open before I try to do it again, grabbing his phone out of his back pocket. He looks behind him as I floated it to me, grabbing it and taking off down the hallway. "Emily! Come back here!" He takes off after me before catching my hand, pulling me to his chest. He looked down at me, placing a hand on my cheek. I leaned into it before I felt him reach into my back pocket and grabbing his phone back. "Ha, I got it!"
"Steven Grant Rogers, you used my love against me!" I said, gasping and pulling away from him. "I cannot believe you!" He smiled before pulling me back towards him, locking his lips with him.
He had something to him that just attracted me to him.
That night, I laid in bed, thoughts racing in my mind. Fury. Telekinesis. Steve.
It's like everyday I find another power that I have. Strength, light, and now telekinesis. I still haven't revealed strength to the guys yet. I might use that to my benefit the next time the guys and I drink together. Challenge Bucky or Sam to pushups or something.
I closed my eyes, hoping for sleep to come.
But it doesn't.
Godamn it.
I flip the covers off and throw on a pair of slippers and walk to the living quarters. I never had a chance to experiment with the telekinesis. If I can learn to master it, I can use it to my ability for the next mission I'm on.
I walk into the room, finding nobody there and the lights off. "Friday, please turn the lights on." The lights flip on as Friday says okay. I look around the room, finding a cabinet in the room. Pulling open a door, a bunch of board games and a couple decks of cards shuffle around. Perfect. What better to do then build a card tower.
After learning the trick to the card, I begin building, building row by row until I'm down to my last card to place. I was never good at building card towers before, I guess it's the kinesis that's helping. I go to place the last card before I hear a noise behind me, causing me to jump and destroy the whole tower. "Mother fucker!" I turn around quickly, seeing Bucky standing there, holding a glass of what looks like milk. "Bucky?"
"Sorry, sorry. New power?" He says, holding the glass with white knuckles. I must have scared him, too.
"Yea, found it out today. I didn't know I could until Sam and Clint threw a football at my head." We share a laugh before he feigns exhaustion and leaves. Yea, I'm pretty tired too. Especially after trying out this new powers. I pack up the cards, putting them away and tell FRIDAY to turn the lights off before taking the elevator back up to our floor. I take silent steps to my room before hearing a door open, followed by a small noise.
"Emmy?" I hear, seeing Steve walk out of the room, wearing a white shirt and his boxers. Awe, Steve. "Why are you up?"
"I can ask you the same thing, Stevie." I walk up to him before kissing his cheek. Before I can get too far away, he pulls me closer and kisses me softly. I gotta say, I love Sleepy Steve.
"Emmy, stay with me tonight." He says, hugging me tight. Awe, he's like a little child when he's tired.
"Yes, Steve, I will. Give me a minute to grab something from my room, then I'll be right there." Pressing my lips to his cheek, I walk back to my room, plugging my phone into my phone charger. Last thing I need is a dead phone in the morning. I shut the door and walk to Steve's room, seeing that he left the door cracked a little. I poke my head in, seeing him already passed out in the bed. God, he's fucking adorable. I take off my slippers by the door before climbing into the bed. It was as if he knew I got into bed because he grabbed my by my waist, snuggling into me. He made a small noise, one that sounded as if he said "I love you".
I'm just tired, I'm hearing things.
With that thought, I felt sleep come to take me away.
