14 - Battle Begin

"And I love you, Keanu. Don't leave me. I swear, we can go through this together." I say, yelling out at the man of my dreams. "Keanu, please!" I yell out before hearing a different voice speak up.

"Time to wake up, Miss Blake." I look around, seeing Keanu gone."Miss Blake." I hear again before I sit up suddenly. I was dreaming. And to think Keanu would love me. "Miss Blake." I jump suddenly, fuck, it's just Friday. "Sorry to scare you. Captain Rogers told me to tell you that your training begins in 20 minutes. He also told me to tell you that, and I quote, "Come prepared to show your best". 

I begin to grumble myself before letting out a deep breath. "Thanks, Friday." I stumble over to my closet, grabbing out a clean pair of clothes. Something for me to work out in, god knows what Steve and everyone else has planned for me. I settle for a black pair of leggings, along with a simple tank top and sports bra. I then shuffle over to my bathroom before coming out, ready for the day. "What time is it, Friday?" 

"It is 7:50 in the morning." 

Of course. I'm not a morning person, I never was. And now here I am, at 8 o'clock in the fucking morning going to train. Is it too late to back out now? As soon as I went to turn around, there was a knock at my door. Of course someone has to come check on me. 

I just want to sleep. 

"Emily?" I heard from the other side of the door. Bucky. I sauntered over to the door, opening it to see my second favorite super soldier. "Oh good, you're awake. It's time for your training." 

"Yea, yea. Let me throw some shoes on." I grab a pair of tennis shoes before walking back to the door. 

It was like I went to hell and back. 

They put me against Clint first. He wasn't as hard as I thought. He was predictable with his moves, allowing me plenty of time to move and get out of the way before making me own move. It took only about five minutes before I took Clint out. 

I thought I was done for a second before they sent Natasha in. We had tussled for a while before a man in an eyepatch and dark clothing spoke up. "Blake, Romanoff. Stand down. Blake, Emily." I nod before he blinks. "You're good. You took down Barton like he was nothing." I look over at Clint, who was nursing his shoulder. I did kind of hit him pretty hard. "I don't blame you for not taking down Romanoff as easily, she's one of the best we have here." I smile at Natasha before he begins to speak again. "You're good with hand to hand. I need to see your powers. Maximoff." He backs up before Wanda walks forward. She nods before I do too. Gotta be ready for anything now, Emily. "Commence." 

Wanda and I begin to circle each other, waiting for someone to make the first move. I see a ball of red grow in her hand before I do the same thing. We throw them at the same time, creating a power blast that knocks each of us back. She gets up a little quicker before I do. I see another ball of light coming for me. I created a shield out of light before sending another blast at her before landing a hit. Good. I make my light rope before grabbing her hand and sending her flying across the room. Oops, I hope she's okay. Red surrounds her body as she begins to lift herself off the ground. Oh fuck. A thought goes through my mind before I push myself, feeling my body begin to rise, my feet off the ground. Holy shit. I take a deep breath before propelling myself at Wanda, sending our bodies flying at the wall before we take the battle to the air. Is there anything I can't do? I conjure a long glow rope before wrapping it around her. She seemed to be caught. I look over at the guys, seeing the look of surprise and thought on their faces. I turn back to Wanda, red light filling my eyes. Oh Wanda, I don't easily get blinded.

I need to end this soon, I feel drained.  Feeling my body start to glow, I create a glowing staff with balls of light on each end. I smirk at her before spinning the rod, sending a barrage of light at her. One hits, then another, then she begins to fall. Fuck. I swooped down and grabbed her before she hit the ground. As soon as I hit the ground, I fell to my knees before seeing black spots in my eyes. Dammit, Emily, you over did it. "Emily!" I hear, seeing Steve running towards us before everyone else does. "Are you okay?" 

"I'm fine. Check on her." I murmur before the spots overtook my vision. 

Opening my eyes, I saw a woman with blonde hair and a long white dress on. "So you've discovered yourself." I knew that voice. It was a voice that I haven't heard in a long time. She turned around, revealing herself. "I've missed you, baby." My mom. I felt the tears start to prick at my eyes before she walked towards me. "I don't have long to talk to you. You need to know something - the powers are hereditary. They were mine, and now they are yours. Wear my necklace, it is special, for it will help you control and become more powerful." There was a loud noise before her voice wavered. "I am with you always, sunshine. But now, you need to wake up."
