Mira POV

I closed my eyes slowly as I felt the wind blow around me. I was focused and I was ready.

My eyes snapped open and I threw the knife with my magical energy towards the target before opening my eyes.

I immediately frowned. I had completely missed the target.

I sighed in disappointment.

Was this the absolute best I could do? How pitiful.

I clenched my fists. I had to do better than this, ten days had already gone by and two fairies had already mastered this.

I bit my lip.

I was frustrated so frustrated.

"Mira."

I looked behind me to see Gloxinia walking towards me,"What are you doing?"

"I'm training," I said.

He sighed,"Why would you train on a day like this?"

I looked up at the sun.

There were almost no clouds in the sky and it was beautiful.

...

"You're right," I said,"but I need to do this."

He sighed yet again before walking towards me.

"Let's have fun."

I looked into his golden eyes in silence.

"Fine."

...

He jumped up before taking my hand and we flew.

I didn't know where he was taking me but I didn't care I would follow him.

He dived down and I followed him before watching him go back up.

I scoffed as I felt my attitude lighten. He was going up and down on purpose.

He suddenly landed and began walking.

I followed him and what I saw were peach trees.

I smiled. I loved peaches.

"You know this is the best time to get them."

I smiled,"Really?"

He took three before walking to the edge of a cliff and sitting.

I watched him eat one and I giggled. He looked like a chipmunk.

I grabbed a peach as well and sat beside him.

We ate in silence.

::

"So what now?" he asked me.

I shrugged before thinking.

"What about a game of hide and seek? You're it. Starting now," I said before sprinting away from him.

"W-Wait Mira that's not fair-"

I didn't hear the rest as I had flown away from him so quickly.

:::

"Oh, your still trying to hit the target?"

I turned around expecting to see Gloxinia but I was disappointed to see Amaro with a smug smile on his face.

I groaned. Why did he always show up when I didn't want him to?

He was so annoying

I calmed myself down.

"I'm doing great actually."

He smiled,"Let's compete then, first one to hit the middle."

I nodded,"That sounds great."

No, it doesn't. This is a terrible idea.

I released my magical energy before throwing the dagger towards the target. By the time I opened my eyes I smiled. It had landed on the target but no where near the middle.

I smiled. This was an improvement.

Amaro took a deep breath and released his energy. It was less then mine but when he threw it landed really close to the dot. It seemed he had more control over his energy then me.

I shivered.

"I'll get it next time," he said.

I gulped and I was about to throw my next one when....

"So that's where you went," I turned around to see Gloxinia," I was look-"

He frowned when he saw Amaro.

His eyebrow twitched and he smirked.

"Hey Mira give it to me."

I gave him the knife
and I watched as he glared at Amaro.

"We want it to get as close to the dot as possible-"

He released his magical energy and I felt chills run down my spine.

It was so immense. My senses couldn't keep up with how much energy he had.
I couldn't believe it was coming all from him.

Unlike how fascinated I was Amaro looked frightened. I suppose he could also feel that way.

I watched as he threw the knife and my jaw dropped.

*crack*

Right on. It had hit right on the black dot and the force in which he had hit it was amazing.

I watched as the bullseye began to crumble and then it snapped as many pieces began to fall to the ground.

What remained was the middle of the target and the knife which was right on the dot.

I smiled.

He had a lot of magical power.

Gloxinia grabbed my hand," We're done here," he said before taking me away.

I looked back at Amaro as he picked up a rock and threw it at a tree in frustration.

He was upset he had lost.

I wondered what had happened between the two of them. They obviously didn't like each other.

I shrugged before looking back at Gloxinia.

"You're awesome," I said to him.

"Really?"

I nodded.

"You have to teach me how to do that."

"Okay," he said before leading me back to the peaches.

We sat together on the cliff as the wind blew.

We looked over the forest as we watched leaves float into the distance.
