Mira POV
"Calm down."
I closed my eyes as I bit my lip.
"You're doing great just calm down."
"I'm trying," I said.
There was a silence between us and I was about to throw the knife when...
"CALM DOWN!!!"
I looked behind me at Gloxinia with upset eyes,"I am calm you idiot!"
He looked at me for a while before he smirked.
"Prove it then," he said,"prove to me your calm. Hit the dot."
I gulped before I turned around. It looked so far away all of a sudden and I began to shake a little.
"See, that's what I thought."
I was about to take a break when he walked in front of me and took a hold of my wrist. I stiffened but then relaxed as he put one of my arms out.
"Straighten out your back."
I stood up as straight as possible and he sighed," Not like that."
He walked behind me as he began to position my body and I felt a blush grown on my face.
"Like this," his voice said gently as I felt his chest against my back.
I forced myself to ignore it and finally he backed away.
"Okay, now think of something you hate."
I looked at him confused.
"Just do it," he said.
I felt a sense of hatred fill me up as I looked down at my feet. Humans.
I bit my lip,"I got it."
He pointed at the target,"Now pierce it through."
I launched the knife at once and a smile made its way on my face when I saw where it landed.
"I did it!" I said happily.
It was right on the dot.
He smiled a bit before speaking,"Do you wanna go do something else."
I thought about it for a second. Control was the only place I was lacking and since I had just nailed this I didn't see why not.
I nodded,"Sure."
"Hey guys you can come out now!"
I watched as small fairies came out from behind the trees.
"So this is Mira she's gonna be playing tag with us today."
He smirked, "She's pretty good."
I looked at him with wide eyes,"Hey I-"
Quick as a flash a small fairy tagged me and he began laughing before flying away from me. We were playing tag, huh?
"Are you sure she's good at it? She seems pretty slow."
I smiled a bit before I zoomed forward and every one ran away.
I tagged one of the little fairies pretty quickly and I seemed to enjoy the game after a few minutes. I got tagged a couple more times while not really trying and I was having fun.
After a while the sun was going down and Gloxinia forced the little fairies to go home.
"Come on Gloxinia!" they said.
He continued pushing them,"We can play again together next time."
After a bit of encouragement they left and I was left there with him.
He seemed like a genuine honest fairy. I liked that about him.
I looked up at the sky to see the sun was almost down. The sky was turning to its regular dark blue,"It's getting late. We should head home."
"I'll walk you home," he said.
I looked at him happy he had made the offer but a bit guilty as well.
"Are you sure?"
He nodded as he flew upwards and signaled me to follow him.
I nodded before leading the way,"So Gloxinia...you have no intention of being the Fairy King."
"Correct."
"Why?"
...
"I don't know."
I giggled, "You don't care at all, do you?"
He shrugged, "Whoever's chosen is just naturally talented."
I smiled as we made it to the front of my treehouse. I knocked and the door opened.
My mother smiled at me but was shocked by Gloxinia.
"Lilen?!" she said.
I immediately panicked,"N-no this is Gloxinia, he's my friend."
