Ellie POV
I finished the last bite of my ravioli, and put my fork down. Jackson was still working on his steak as I sat back.
"Dessert?" asks Jackson wiping his mouth.
"No! Too full." I say laughing.
"Check!"
The waiter comes soon, and leaves a receipt on the table. I start to take out 63 dollars, but Jackson stops me, and slaps a 100 dollar bill on the table.
"Woah. Aren't you gonna get change? That was 100 dollars!"
"No. I have it covered, anyways its a tip."
He says as we get up
" A 37 dollar one?"
"Um yeah, it was a really good meal."
I laugh.
"I never got to ask, but at Starbucks, you said that you were visiting your mom."
"Yeah and?"
"Well your mom is dead, so what are you really doing here?" he paused, and we got up. we started walking down and the street.
"Well?" I say growing impatient.
The rain was still poring down, leaving droplets on our jackets, as we stand in a silence.
He clears his throat and looks down.
"Since my mom died from cancer, I went to see an oncologist in Jersey, to test for cancer, since you know that it's genetic."
"And?" I said, almost getting a heart attack. Does he suspect me?
"Well I missed my appointment, so I decided to stay here, until my next appointment on Thursday."
"Why did you take the bus, if you are so rich?"
"God, you are full of questions, aren't you?" he says laughing. I giggle,
"Trusrt me there's a lot more from where that cane from." I say. I laugh again, and as we walk, he slips his hand into mine, I feel nervous and a little tense, but I don't let go.

Jackson opens the door for me, and I step out of the car. We are in front of a Starbucks I wonder why. He takes my hand again, and walks me across the street. Everybody is running up and down the streets because of the rain, but I don't mind. We walk across the crowded streets, as we get to the front of my hotel.
"We had a nice dinner." he said.
"I have to agree."
He looked into my eyes, and I looked back, into his blue eyes. I felt like it was one of those movie moments before a kiss.
It was. He leaned in, and slowly our lips touched. I was drenched in water, and the rain was increasing, but I didn't care.
We pulled away at the same time, and I bit my lip. he smiled,
"Bye."
"Bye."
I watched him walk across the street. He waved as he got in his car.
I turned around towards the door. I could see my reflection in the door. Wet, mascara running down my face from the rain, but I laughed. My first kiss. The same night as my first date. Most importantly my first kiss in the rain. I opened the door, and ran to the elevator. People stared at how I looked like a barbie doll dropped in a mud puddle. I don't seem to pay attention to people's opinions, they have never interested me. My mind is only a road that never ends. It gets confusing here and there, but the way people look at it, doesn't seem to phase me. Never has, never will.
