Ellie POV
The car ride was really boring. I looked out the window into the murky gray sky, as it started drizzling.
Melissa though, read my mind, and dug out her iPad out of her bag. She handed it to me and I gently took it.
"Thanks." I said not making eye contact.
"No problem."
I opened the cover of her hot pink case, and typed in the password.
2302.
I scrolled through her four pages and found the red icon of Netflix. I logged in, clicked my profile, and started watching my ultimate favorite show. House MD. It is a TV show that ended a few years ago, about these four doctors, who get a new orient in every episode, and it takes them a really long time to figure out the diagnosis, because the patient keeps getting weird symptoms that don't fit in with a solid diagnosis.
I watch for half an hour or so, and I stop it, to give my eyes a break. I felt tired and looked up to see Melissa picking up the speed of the car, as it starts pouring hard.
"It's raining cats and dogs." I say rubbing my eyes.
Melissa just chuckles.
I stare out the window for a while, and I watch it rain. I love when it rains. The murky weather just sets a calm mood for me. I see headlights flash, and a car horn blast.
"MELISSA LOOK OUT!" I yell, as she blasts her horn and sharply turns trying to dodge the car. It wasn't soon enough, and we both screamed as Both of our cars collided, sending me into this dark void that I couldn't seem to find my way out of.

A/N
Okay that was probably the shortest chapter in the book.
But it was really important it had the major car crash that hospitalizes Melissa and Ellie
I won't give anything else away
