Monday January 19th
Andrew sat there. Quietly watching the female sitting next to him as she carefully wrote in the margins of her paper. They were lyrics to his younger sister's, Viola's, favorite song. It had been on repeat almost all of Winter Break.
He almost couldn't stop himself from humming the tune of the song while she drew.
But he withheld himself.
After sitting in the seat next to her for the last two weeks Andrew was still impressed by her looks. With her long brown hair and a face that showed her emotions too clear she was refreshingly honest; it something he hadn't experienced in a while if not in his whole 21 years of existence.
And after sitting in the seat next to her for the last two weeks he still hadn't build up the courage to ask if she'd be willing to go out sometime, let alone actually speak to her for more than to pass the sign-in clipboard to her.
Andrew listened to Dr. Collins begin to wrap up her lecture about relationships, something that as a psychology major Andrew found increasingly interesting. Especially when every time Dr. Collins mentioned that romantic relationships were the subject matter for the next few weeks the girl next to him made a face.
One he couldn't quite decipher.
One he found rather interesting.
When Dr. Collins stood at the front of the lecture hall, her hands clasped together as she dismissed the class Andrew shoved his laptop into his backpack. Trying to not make it obvious that his attention was still on the girl next to him.
In the seat next to him she stretched her arms and accidentally bumped her elbow into his shoulder in the process.
She blushed and apologize taking a minutes to make sure he was really okay and giving him a bright smile when he confirmed that he was indeed fine. She had a small dimple at the left corner of her mouth and her smile was infectious.
He was normally one of the last to leave the lecture hall and he sat back in his seat and pulled a scratch sheet of paper and scribbled out a note that he planned to give out Wednesday.
