Wednesday January 28th

Mason meandered her way down the stairs focusing on several of the guys in the class near her. In row 5 there were three guys seated, her seat open between a blonde senior who was in her economics class last semester and the other was a guy she had never met before. Mason continued looking around the room stopping to take note of the row behind where she normally sat where a group of guys were clustered focusing on the basketball game that was going on one of their IPads, in the row in front of her there was only one guy and he was currently enjoying playing with his girlfriend's hair as she rested her head on his shoulder.

Her stomach clinched as she stood in front of her seat. Already she could see the folded piece of white paper that Andrew always wrote on stuck between the edge of her desk and the armrest. In a spot that wasn't super noticeable to anyone except for her trained eyes.

To be quite honest, Mason wasn't just nervous about the fact that Andrew had written back, it was more of the simple declaration that Andrew wanted to get to know her.

So as Dr. Collins began her newest lecture over relationships Mason quickly took her seat. Her heartbeat accelerating as she held tightly to the note.

She still hadn't opened the note when Dr. Collins began the conclusion of her lecture.

Taking a deep breath Mason uncurled her fingers and began to open the note.

Mason-

Let's start with something simple.

Like a game of twenty questions.

What year are you?

Yours truly,

Andrew

p.s. "Can we dance real slow?"

Mason released the breath she had been holding, she could do this. It wasn't anything big, they were just friends. Friends-Mason smiled at that idea as she began to respond.
