Friday January 23rd

As what seemed to be becoming habit Andrew watched her as she came down the stairs and made her way to the seat next to him. Unable to hide the dorky smile that covered his face as he watched her's light up when she noticed the newest note.

Andrew tried to focus on Dr. Collins, knowing that a test was coming up in the next few weeks and he hadn't even attempted to take any notes all week because he had been too distracted.

While he tried to focus on the lecture different things kept catching his attention.

Like the fact that she smelt like apples during the summer time, which was a new smell. Normally he would smell vanilla whenever she was near, but he rather enjoyed the change. It was different and it suited her.

Or the fact that her long brown hair that normally hung in waves down her back was thrown in a messy bun at the top of her head.

Which led to the fact that he noticed the small tattoo drawn behind her right ear. It was just a small outline of a balloon but he couldn't help but be curious about it nonetheless.

He tried to ignore her as he watched her start to draw on a scrap piece of paper she pulled out of her bag, tried to ignore her as she pulled up the lyrics to the song and wrote them in a whimsical script, and tried to ignore her as she stood when Dr. Collins dismissed the class and the class broke out in chaos everyone standing, stretching, and leaving in disordered lines through the four doors of the hall.

She lingered around the top of the stairs watching the row Andrew was still currently sitting in waiting to pick up the note and he had to force himself to move and ask Dr. Collins a question about Psychology Club meeting that week.

For some reason he wasn't ready for her to know who he was, at least not yet. He wasn't ready to burst the happiness he received from her notes once she realized it was him giving her notes.

When she shrugged and walked out the doors Andrew jumped to grab her note, afraid that someone else might pick it up out of curiosity.

Holding his breath he smiled when he saw her doodle of a giraffe standing on stilts in the corner of the pages reaching for the words 'You'll be the brightest star in the sky, sing me a song and tell me who it's for'. Below that she had written,

I'm pretty sure you're my music soul mate.
