Friday January 30th

Andrew tried to focus on the lecture. Today was about the beginnings of relationships. Something that Andrew felt like he could suddenly relate to. But Andrew was distracted. His main distraction sitting next to him completely oblivious that they were sitting next to each other. His other distraction was on his laptop in front of him, held in such a way that Mason could see his screen but couldn't tell that he was texting her from it.

He chuckled to himself. Apparently he was the type of person to text someone in the same room. He laughed mainly for the fact that he had made fun of Dylan for this exact thing, well kind of the same thing. The only difference was the girl knew what he looked like but that was a minor detail.

Dr. Collins stood at the front of the hall clicking through slides. "A beginning of a relationship is built upon similar interests, attraction, and flirting." The class laughed awkwardly as she pulled up slides for each explaining the importance towards building a relationship. His attention split between typing his notes and waiting for Mason's next message.

Shifting his eyes to his right he watched her. Today her hair was up again, but she had one of the knitted wraps protecting her ears from the cold so her tattoo was barely peaking out from underneath it. She smiled as she typed something out on her phone. Her teeth worried her bottom lip and he found himself smiling with her again. She seemed to have this effect on him.

Movement on his screen brought his attention back to his computer and he clicked open her message.

If I tell you that Oh Darling by Plug in Stereo is one of my favorite songs

but I think I might like you more than it is it flirting?

Andrew took a deep breath, trying not to let his growing smile give him away.

Only if you say it with a winky face.

Trust me, I'm a psych major I know these things. ;)

He tried to hold his laughter in as he watched her open his message. He felt light, almost as if walking on clouds and it was all attributed to the beautiful girl sitting next to him.

She giggled before stifling her laughter by biting her knuckle.

When Andrew opened her next message it was just a row of winking faces.

They had practically been texting non-stop for the last two days and she never ceased to surprise him.

Why Mason, one would think you're flirting with me!

He continued to watch her out of the corner of his eye. Her brown eyes sparkles as she typed back a response. She really was beautiful, and not the fake-to-much-make-up kind of way either. It was the type of beauty that stopped him in his tracks and made him nervous yet excited at the same time. The type of beauty that she obviously knew she was pretty but didn't know how much so she didn't flaunt it. It was an organic type of beauty. One unchanged by how society view her. For that Andrew fell a little more for her.
