Friday January 30th
Andrew watched her out of the corner of his eye. Her knees bounced and she tried to stealthily look at him without him noticing. Obviously she failed at it, but the attempt was cute nonetheless. Her brown eyes would wonder, she'd bring her hand up to push her hair out of her face, she turn and watch him for a second or two and then she'd turn back to the front just as quickly.
He could feel his phone vibrate in his pocket several times, once when a message came in then again to remind him to look at it. It happened three times, three messages before Andrew decided to look at them.
Andrew angled his body again and pulled out his laptop, sitting so close to her made him almost wish that she'd look over at his screen and see that he had his messaging app open and was texting a Mason. It almost made him wish that she knew he was indeed Andrew and it wasn't just another guy in the class whom she was discussing life with. That the guy sitting next to her was the one she had poured her heart out to last night discussing her dream of opening a non-profit coffee shop in the middle of the big city. That he was the guy who discussed his fears of not being able to handle the weight of counseling but couldn't think of anything else he'd rather do.
So can I ask more of my twenty questions?
#2 Do you sit near me?
#3 Do you think we'll get a chance to actually meet?
Andrew rubbed his chin as he tried to think out what to say before actually responding.
Yes, ask away.
We've met a few times actually. Nothing official.
Are you wanting to officially meet?
A Drop in the Ocean — Ron Pope
Andrew's stomach flipped as he watched her receive his messages.
