The new guy was propped up against a tree, head in his hands. Riley's stomach dropped whenever she looked at him. He was familiar, but not in the same was as Minho.

She wanted to run, run away from all this crap. But she couldn't. There was no where to run, nowhere to hide.

The thought came from randomly, but something clicked in Riley's brain; they were watching.

"I'm gonna go. Whatever the hell is going on, we still need to run the maze." Minho decided. Alby nodded, Newt bid him goodbye and good luck, and he took off to the east door.

The guy looked up as Alby, Newt and Riley approached. He found Riley's eyes, and she hoped, longed for a look of recognition, surprise, anything. Something. But no. All she got was a blank, confused stare.

Newt shot her a look like, here we go again. She hadn't actually properly spoke to him since the incident the previous night. She burned with curiously as to why he had a limp, but kept quiet. After all, she barely knew the guy- it wasn't any of her business.

She turned away as Alby began to try and explain everything to the Greenie.

And then suddenly, the whole world came crashing down around her. Her knees buckled underneath her frame, and black seared her vision.

Then came the images. Flashes. A boy with blonde hair, a limp, and a broken smile. An Asian guy with dark hair and a smirk. A brown haired boy named Thomas, wearing a lab coat and an empty expression.

Wicked is good. Wicked is good. Wicked is good. Wicked is good.

A voice rang in her ears, shouting the same thing again and again.

Wicked is good. Wicked is good. Wicked is good. Wicked is good.

Huge, metallic, spiked creatures. Click-whurr, click-whurr, click-whurr. A boy holding a gun, his entire frame shaking. A scientist talking. A young girl, grinning happily. Fire- flaming red, oranges, blazing everywhere.

Familiar faces, one after the other, each bearing looks of pain and disappointment. Her entire body burned in pain. The images grew faster, the chanting louder, louder, louder.

And then, nothing.

Nothing at all.

Yup, another update. Yup, another short, pointless filler. Sorryyyyyy. Are you guys liking it so far? I'm not too sure. It's not one of my good pieces of work, really. I feel it's really rushed and I didn't piece it all together correctly. Ugh. ily alllll. Oh and the video on the top is what I imagined to be Newt's song but idk whatever. And I've just published another TMR fanfic, it's on my profile, called 'it's all lies, darling." Check it out? Heart it maybe?
