6 weeks later...
You walk along the path towards S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters in the dimming afternoon light. All around you the street lights are just starting to turn on in preparation for the coming evening. Pushing the pram, you wait patiently and walk slowly as Theo toddles along beside you, he's so determined to do everything himself already and he's not even one. It's probably to do with his enhanced abilities.
Ahead of you, you keep an eye on Luke and Isla who are fighting over who gets to hold Minty's lead as you walk about six feet in front of you.
"Luke, let Isla have a turn now." You call out and watch as his head drops in defeat as he hands the lead over.
"Haha told you!" Isla taunts and pokes her tongue out.
"Isla." You warn. "That's not very nice now is it? If you keep that up neither of you will be holding the lead."
At this she stops and starts obediently walking along the footpath.
You feel like your finally starting to get a handle on this parenting of five children pretty much by yourself thing. This has become your daily afternoon routine. With Bucky back in full time training and work every evening before dinner you all walk to pick him up and walk home together as a family. It's a good way to burn some energy and get some exercise, all together importantly.
Much to your surprise when you get to shield, Bucky is already waiting outside, leaning against something that you can quite make out in the poor visibility. But upon closer inspection you see that it is a motorcycle.
You smirk as you walk up to him, wondering if he's remembered what you have and Luke and Isla already having run up ahead to hug him but then quickly move on to inspect the bike. "What's this?"
"A gift from Howard to use on missions. He surprised us with them today." He grins.
"I don't know about a gift, sounds more like he's getting sick of driving you guys around." You tease.
"Probably." He chuckles.
You wait to see if he mentions anything else but Luke interrupts.
"Do you know how to ride it dad?" Luke asks, absolutely entranced as he inspects the bike.
"Heck yeah. My dad taught me how to ride one of these when I wasn't much older than you," Bucky says non-chalantely.
Luke's jaw drops. "No way! Can you teach me one day?"
Bucky looks back at you and you grimace, unsure of how you feel about imagining your baby boy driving round the streets on a motorcycle.
"One day," He ends up saying. "When your a bit older and I've managed to convince your mum. Don't worry, we'll work her round to it."
You see him wink causing Luke to laugh.
"Daddy can you take me for a ride?!" Isla exclaims.
"Ah, no sw-" you start nervously.
"Sure thing baby girl." Bucky interrupts making you glare daggers at him.
What the hell is he thinking?
He looks at you sheepishly. "Come on Doll she'll love it." He reasons. "I've got a spare helmet and I'll just take her nice and slow around the parking lot."
You huff in defeat. "Fine. But you do realise that means that Theo and Luke are going to want rides too?"
"Yes dear of course." He mocks you making you roll your eyes.
"Yay yay yay! Daddy can we go super fast?!" Isla screeches.
"Yes Of course, super duper fast." You know he's teasing you by the way he looks at you sideways but it still stresses you out.
