Let's get one thing clear. I was not handling anything well at all.

"So, I wanted to start doing the things I said I'd do as soon as I possibly could and I've already managed to set a few things up. This week is gonna be a busy one. Tomorrow, I'm talking to principal Myers and the counselors about a new mental health program, and I'm gonna have to attend seven club meetings. Friday, V-club is volunteering at a daycare center, the fundraiser for the cheerleader's new bus is gonna be Saturday, Sunday is a rest day and then next week—"

"Slow down!" Billie grumbled through the phone. "I can barely understand you cause you're breathing so heavily—Are you sure you're okay? Why don't you take a break?"

"No time for breaks!" I chuckled breathlessly. "I promised myself I'd start exercising and that is what I'm gonna do! I'm gonna stick to it!"

I woke up at 4 this morning to get ready for what was supposed to be a thirty-minute jog, but it's been two hours and I've jogged around my block who knows how many times. I can barely breathe, but I feel great! I mean, I've always tried to work out in the past but I never stuck to it. This time, I feel like I will!

"Are you sure you can handle all that? It sounds like a lot. You're barely gonna have any time to rest." She sighed.

"Hey, don't worry about me! I've always been a busy body, I'm used to it. Plus, I knew it'd be like this if I was elected president. I'm prepared!" I told her quickly. Yesterday, I found out that I won the election, and I was beyond ecstatic. I can't say I was all that shocked, but I was still really excited.

"Hey, I have to go cause I need to get back to my house and get ready for school. See you in a while, okay?" I told her.

"Yeah...I love you." She told me tiredly.

"Love you!"

I quickly hung up and bent over, resting my hands on my knees as I tried to catch my breath. I was literally wheezing and lowkey scared that I was gonna pass out. Running and talking isn't a great combination.

When my head stopped spinning a little, I started sprinting once again. It took me a little less than five minutes to get to my house, and once I did, I quickly opened the door and jogged inside and up to my room as quietly as I could.

When I got into my bathroom, I stripped my clothes off and got into my shower, sighing as I began hurriedly trying to scrub myself clean.
