Chapter 29-What goes up mus come down

It seemed as if the words coming out od Adrians mouth were absurd and foolish. My mind couldnt or should i say wouldn't pay them no mind.
Was The dark dusk pack really here to negotiate a deal? What was all this?
Adrian: "Alpha?, We have Alpha Roth from the Dark Dusk pack here to see you. There at the boarder now waiting on permission."
Maximus: "Bring him and his men imto my office ill be there."
Maximus had the darkest look in his eyes, at this point it looked as if they were pitch black not his usual light green orbs.
He dismisses Adrian with a slight nod and turns to face me.
Mila: ...
I cant seem to make out any words even though i could see all this unfolding in front of me.
Maximus: "My love i have matters to attend to, would you like to come? I know this might be difficult but I'm leaving it up to you."
He leans in and gives me a small peck on my lips and walks away.
It seems as if my feet had a mind of there own and i followed. We made our way to his office. At this point no emotions were coursing through me. This isn't what i had expected, but i knew one thing for sure. This was the moment i had been running from, the demon i fear is here and i need to dace him.
Maximus leaned in and kissed me passionately as i was in thought as i'm sure he can read my emotions.
Maximus: "Mila?, i love you. We can do this. Im right here with you."
I bod in agreement. He's right, i an ready, better yet were ready.
As i take a deep breath i see the doors swing open and in comes Adrian announcing dark dusts arrival.
Adrian: "Alpha, Luna" Adrian nods.
"As granted, here is Alpha Roth from dark dust pack and his men" i see the fury in Adrians eyes.
I immediately catch eyes with alpha roth.
He gives me a small smirk with i could clearly see Maximus saw as he gripped on to his desk till his knuckles were white. Its been a while since ive seen Maximus so angry. My mind almost slipped at who my mate was. With that in mind i walk a but forward feeling bold, not fear but powerful. Not the same weakling that they once used and abused.
Maximus: "To what is it you are here for Roth?" I noticed Maximus didnt call him alpha which os extremely disrespectful but i know Roth knew better then to wage a war especially with my mate.
Alpha Roth: "Ive already found her." He points at me and smirks.
"She is A member of my pack and i shall have her taken back immediately." He said not removing his grimy eyes off of me.
I heard a husky almost murderous chuckle come out of Maximus.
Maximus: " i think you need to re think that Roth." Maximus wraps his arms around my waist and plants a soft kiss on my neck where i would wear his mark causing goosebumps to erupt throughout my body.
I can see Roths mouth drop down and fury building within him.
Maximus: "see Mila here is my mate mine and mine only , she is the luna to our pack and theres no way in hell your taking her from me or better yet us."
He ends the sentence almost shouting and slamming the desk harshly.
Mila: " I wont be going anywhere with you Alpha Roth. This is my home and to correct you i wasn't a member of your pack i was a prisoner!"
Alpha Roth roared in anger.
He wasn't going to leave here without a fight.
Alpha Roth: "Alpha Wylde, she is a prisoner she said it her self!, she needs to return and finish her sentence! Shes useless! You need a better mate, stronger, not some weakling. She isn't worthy of an alpha!"
I absorbed his every word and suddenly i saw red.
