"Why are you being so nice to me?"
"Am I not supposed to be?"
Rapunzel held his hand and led him to the bathroom connected to her room. She looked over her shoulder at him, the boy who everyone avoided at school just because they were cowards who had no idea how to just talk with someone. It was only her first week at her new high school. She fell into class easily but she noticed him in her English class. He had special books with braille and always looked dejected and rather sad. No one talked to him, people avoided looking at him. He had ruined in eyes in a car crash with his family. He was the only one who lived
"It’s not exactly the cool thing to talk to the cripple." he mumbled, letting her lead him. he felt the change of carpet to cool tile beneath his feet. Some bullies from school had cornered him and pushed him into the lake. The girl with the pretty singing voice lived at the lake house and found him.
"Ill start the water for you."
"I can function by myself, princess." he sneered, pale white eyes looking at the floor. He was soaked from head to toe and she sighed,
"I know that but I would’ve had to explain how to turn the water on anyway." she moved to walk past him but paused at the door, turning around. He crossed his arms and pulled off his t-shirt. Her green eyes widened at all the white scars that decorated his skin. Most likely from the crash.
"Jack?"
He stiffened, “What?”
"You’re not crippled. You’re just at a disadvantage, but that doesnt mean you have to be alone."
She missed the way his eyes widened at her words as the bathroom door closed behind her.
