Ever since Jack and she started officially dating, everything had changed overnight. It was like someone had pulled an invisibility cloak off her and every noticed that she was alive. Mostly for all the wrong reasons. She still hung out with Hiccup but there were girls who wanted to hang out with them that she didn’t even know. More popular girls would glare at her and shove her into the lockers but the strangest thing happened…
“I’ll see you at lunch?” Hiccup said, closing his locker.
“Yep.” She replied happily. She already told Jack that she needed to spend time with her friends more since she had been sneaking off with him lately.
Hiccup walked away toward his class room and she turned her heel and did the same. Just as she rounded the corner, one of the blonde cheerleaders rammed into her. Her books fell on the ground as did she. She looked up with a glare but was only met with a vicious smirk. She watched as the girl leaned down to grab her bag from her when Rapunzel hugged it tighter,
“Give it here, weirdo!” the girl said grabbing the strap. Rapunzel remained quiet as usual, only letting tears sting her eyes. Her sketch book that Jack gave her was in there and she wouldn’t let them rip that one. Just as the other two came to jump in, everything seemed to tip into the twilight zone.
“Hey!” a male voice called from down the hall, “Leave her alone!”
All three girls turned, even Rapunzel looked around their legs in shock as Flynn Rider, the quarter back, along with Kristoff jogged up to them. Both were dressed in their letterman jackets, scowling at the girls.
“Leave her alone, you guys.” Kristoff said, picking up her fallen books while Flynn squared off with the girls.
“She’s Jack’s girl. Back off.” Flynn glared at them, the first time that any of them had ever been serious without that usual sarcastic tone or smirk. The girls all huffed and walked away, leaving the three of them alone in the now empty halls. Flynn turned to her and smiled, offering a hand.
“You okay, blondie?” he asked. She blinked, her tears dried in her shock. It took her a moment to take his hand and allow him to help her up. Kristoff handed her the books she had dropped.
“Thank you.” She said softly. The quarterback smirked while the linebacker gave her a smile of his own. Flynn reached out and placed a hand on her head, messing up her hair in a caring gesture.
“No worries. Jack told us about the trouble you’re having with them and asked us to look out for you.” Flynn said
“We got your back.” The blonde one reiterated. Both football players walked her to her class and bid her goodbye. Neither cared if she was much of a talker, but simply joked and tried to make her smile. Obviously when someone meant a great deal to Jack Frost, they meant a great deal to his friends as well.
The day went on a haze. She had started noticing that she was being looked out for. Not by all the popular people. Pitch, Ruff and some others still leered at her but most of Jacks closest friends were making sure she got to class okay and went out of their way to say hi to her. It was all very odd. She wasn’t sure if she liked it or not. She honestly didn’t think the day could get weirder, when it happened. Merida and Tooth both sat by them that day, both chatting about something or other. Rapunzel knew that Hiccup had a biggest crush on the soccer player, Merida, but was too scared to say anything. The blonde also knew that the jock had a thing for Hiccup as well so she decided to just let it play out.
“So have you done it yet?” Toothiana asked, her smile was the purest of white that contrasted to the rich sea of colors in her hair. Her violet eyes looked at the blonde who looked at everyone confused.
