Jack paced his deck, the summer sun was shining on his beach house and he could hear people out on the sand having fun in the warm waters. he hadnt heard anything about the fishing boat that he had pretty much sabotaged and Hiccup was on his way over. This was supposed to be a vacation with his best friend, having fun, drinking, picking up women.
"Jack?" A masculine voice called from the living room.
His eyes raised and looked through the sliding glass door. He could see the bathroom door from the angle he stood at. The same door that haunted him in his sleep. He didnt know what he was supposed do! Who did you call when you discover new creatures? National Geographic? The government? He ran his hand through his hair with a deep breath,
"Im here." Jack called back as he opened the door and stepped through. Hiccup gave him an odd look before looking around. His bags were on the floor and he wore his usual beach attire: a t-shirt and khaki shorts.
"What was that call all about?" Hiccup asked. Jack fidgeted nervously,
"You promise you wont freak out?" The white haired male asked. Hiccup crossed his arms and narrowed his green eyes at his long time friend,
"Depends, is it against the law?"
Jack paused and thought for a moment. Capturing an endangered species? If no one knew they actually existed, were they endangered? Sounded pretty safe to him. Dammit to hell,
"Not that I know of." Jack answered truthfully. Hiccup sighed,
"Alright what is it?"
Jack moved to the bathroom once more, taking a deep breath. He put his hand on the door knob before looking back at Hiccup who looked as skeptical as ever. With some resolve he pushed open the door. Jack closed his eyes, grit his teeth and waited for the mayhem to ensue. He knew that Hiccup was going to flip his lid when he found out about the girl. He just hoped that his friend could help him figure out what to do from here.
"Jack. Please dont tell me you had me leave Berk early to show me your redecorated bathroom."
The white haired male opened his eyes and looked at his bathroom. His tub was empty. It was not empty a couple hours ago. Panic began to set in and the man ran to the tub. The water was still in there but the rest of the bathroom was undisturbed. This was bad. this was very bad. Where the hell could a woman with a fin go?
"Dammit…dammmit.." Jack began to pace the bathroom floor, his hand ran through his hair messily. If he were a half human fish where would he go…oh right he wouldn’t go anywhere because he wouldn’t have legs!
Hiccup crossed his arms, watching his friend mumble to himself in what looked like a complete mental break down. He had never seen Jack so stressed out before. Usually by this time in the summer he was found in his swim trunks, sitting on his surf board with a beer in his hand. The brunette looked around the bathroom for anything significant. Obviously he lost something. Maybe he caught something? Found something and forgot what he did with it.
"What exactly were you trying to show me?" Hiccup asked looking at the ground. His green eyes caught small water droplets on the tiles shining from the sunlight through the windows.
"You wont believe me if I tell you that why you had to see her!" Jack grabbed his hair, hands flailing. He was going nuts. He had to be going insane.
Hiccup raised an eyebrow at his friend and his lips thinned, “You called me three days early from my internship at the firm to show me a girl?”
"She wasn’t just a girl, Hiccup! She was…was…" Jack tried to let the word fall from his lips but even in his head it sounded ridiculous. Hiccup was going to call a psychiatrist.
