Rapunzel ran down the hall, her book in her hand with her long blonde hair and rob flowing behind her. She couldn’t believe she had fallen asleep in her Herbology class. Her and Hiccup stayed up all night studying in the common room and she didn’t realize how tired she was until the end of the day. She couldn’t be late her to Transfiguration class, she couldn’t afford to be late to any of her classes in her seventh year.
She had to get high marks in all of her N.E.W.T classes to be certified to be a healer and if she didn’t do that, all her dreams were done for. She turned the corner and bolted into the classroom before she could finally take a breath. There were a couple of students still sitting down and getting their books out. She walked up to her usual stop, placing an awkward smile on her pink lips though she looked out of breath still.
She sat down next to Hiccup and Merida, laying out her books. She looked down at the table and noticed the white haired Gryffindor was still not here. She raised an eyebrow,
“Where’s Jack?” she asked. Merida turned to her and shrugged,
“He’s been strugglin’ in Potions this year. I think he’s studyin’.”
Hiccup nodded, “He has to get high marks in the class to be an Auror. He’s really nervous he won’t pass.” This statement was only followed by a yawn. Rapunzel was not immune to the feeling and yawned as well. Both sets of green eyes stared dully at the professor as he started to write on the board.

Jack glared at the glassware on the large table. His white hair was a mess and his red and gold tie was loosened. He had thrown his robe on one of the couches in the Gryffindor common room. He flipped open his book to look up what exactly he had done wrong this time. While he knew that he would get high marks in Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions always kicked his ass. And the classes only got harder every year. For the N.E.W.T. Potions class he would have to eight of the hardest potions and their ingredients and effects.
He could barely memorize the ingredients and correct order.
“Damn it,” he cursed under his breath, “It’s not even the right color.”
He let his head hit the table he sat at. He had gotten the Potions professor, Ms. Tooth, to let him borrow the ingredients to practice. Of course that didn’t stop him from taking other ingredients when he was in his Potions class as well. He couldn’t afford to wait for each class to really practice and he didn’t have the money to go to Slug and Jiggers Apothecary this time.
He looked at his make shirt glassware that stemmed from actual vials to porcelain cups and mugs from the common room. His books were open and study notes were spread out. He had skipped his last class today with his friends just to have the common room to himself before classes were done for the day.
He sighed, “Maybe one more try.” He looked over the potion real quick in the book, it was one of the hard ones he would be tested on in his exams. He closed his book and began to go through his ingredients, taking a common drinking cup since it was his last clean one and began to the potion.

The three friend made their way to the Gryffindor Tower. They hadn’t seen Jack all day, he didn’t even come to the Great Hall for dinner. Rapunzel carried a plate for him while Hiccup and Merida led the way. They stopped before the Fat Lady painting and Merida stepped forward,
“Quid Agis.” Merida said and the door was opened to them. Maybe Gryffindor’s were in the common room already with books and homework, chatting by the fire place. Anna waved to the two Ravenclaw’s who walked in with the scot.
