The beautiful blonde looked at herself in the small mirror inside her locker door. Pictures of her friends and small cute magnets looked back at her while she fixed her flower head band, her bangs falling to the side perfectly. Since the school year started she had been dressing her best to class; dresses, skirts, cute hair dos, bright colors and flowers. Before she didnt really mind coming to school in a simple sweater and leggings but this year was different.
"Morning Punz."
The blonde spun around with a smile, knowing the voice that addressed her. It was the same voice that made the butterflies in her stomach flutter. Her green eyes met crystal blue and her heart skipped. This year Jack Overland had a locker right next to her. He was the star lacrosse player of the school with the bluest eyes and the whitest smile. He was a complete goof ball, always joking and smiling. And she was completely, hopelessly infatuated.
"Good morning, Jack." She replied with a smile, "how was the game yesterday?"
Jack turned his combination and opened his locker as Rapunzel tried to casually lean against the closed door of her own. The white haired boy grinned at her while he took out the books he needed.
"It was great, it was missing a certain blonde who happens to always promise to go but never actually shows up." Jack lifted an eyebrow at her, closing his locker. She blushed and twisted the end of her hair around her finger nervously.
"I know, just with homework and the school play—"
Jack chuckled, plucking the lock of hair from her fingers.
"Just messing with you, Punz." He said with a smirk, "I know your busy being the perfect student."
"Am not!"
He laughed, giving the end of her long hair a tug, “Are too.”
Rapunzel pouted up at him playfully, “You’re just being mean.”
He chuckled, gave a soft tug again, “Nah, just means I like you.”
Right then, her cheeks did a great impression of a tomato, even the tips of her ears burned. Her heart fluttered and she felt a small smile come to her lips while he smiled at her.
Before she could respond, a small tinkle of his name was called from behind him. Both students paused and looked over, Rapunzels stomach dropped. A small girl walked up to them, dressed in a simple shorts and tank top. It was her hair that caught attention: dyed many different colors and cut into a pretty pixie cut. She wore many bangles and earrings. She had big exotic eyes and a small smile.
"Hey Tooth," Jack replied with a smile, letting go of the blonde lock to respond to the girls hug. They stood close even when the hug ended. The girl turned to the stunned blonde and smiled,
"Hey Rapunzel!" Tooth said with a smile, "love your headband!"
Rapunzel smiled back politely, holding her books to her chest as of trying to guard her heart.
"Thanks, I got it yesterday."
'To catch your boyfriends attention' she thought guiltily.
"Super cute!" Tooth gushed.
The bell saved the blonde right then, allowing her an out from the heart ache.
"As much as I love talking about hair accessories, thats my cue. See you in English, Punzie." Jack said with a grin before turning and walking down the hall, Tooth holding his arm idly while they spoke to each other with smiles and glances.
Rapunzel gave a small smile and a wave, “yeah…see you.” She mumbled.
She sighed.
"You okay, blondie?"
