Annoucement and Return

As we entered the squad room, everyone stared at us. Including Olivia. They looked confused and happy.

Fin: What's this?

He asked in a gleeful tone.

Nick: We have and announcement to make! Everybody gather 'round!

Everyone moved closer to us making me feel a little uncomfortable.

Cragen: What's going on?

He asked in a relatively annoyed tone wanting us to get back to work.

Nick: Well everyone. I'm just gonna say it. Amanda and I are dating. We have been for a while now but we didn't want to tell anyone because we didn't know how you would react.

Olivia: That's great! This is amazing news!

She said trying to act as she didn't already know. They all congratulated us and after a while Captain spoke.

Cragen: Ok...well Nick...now you can't work this case either.

Nick: But that will only leave Fin on his own!

Cragen: I'll call someone in from another burrow. Now you three (he was implying Nick, Olivia, and I) go home. We will update you whenever we can.

Olivia looked annoyed. She wanted to interrogate her brother so badly. She wanted to scream at him and knock him around. Nick and I headed for the door while Olivia sat at her desk.

Me: What is she...

Nick cut me off.

Nick: Leave her be. She's angry she probably just needs to cool down.

We started for the elevator when it opened. A tall man exited it and strode past us. He looked rather excited. Nick and I exchanged confused looks and followed him back into the squad room. As we entered we saw Olivia sitting at her desk frozen on the spot staring at the man as he entered the room. Her eyes followed him all the way into Cragen's office. She stood up and sprinted to the bathroom as though she was going to be sick. I ran after her.

I pushed the door open and Olivia stood against the wall crying. I strode over to her.

Me: Olivia what's wrong?

I was so worried yet so confused. Who was that man?

Olivia: That man that just came in here. He was my old p-partner. His name is Elliot Stabler. He shot a 14-year-old girl a few years ago. He left without even saying goodbye. I cried for days because I-I-I love him.

There was a long pause and I sat there staring at her. I hugged her tightly.

Olivia: This happens to you and now he comes back just like that. This is so stressful.

I remained hugging her until I conjured myself to say something.

Me: I'm so sorry Olivia.

She pulled away and took a deep breath.

Olivia: I think I'll just try to ignore him. How can he leave without saying goodbye and then just show up?

Me: Yeah. That's screwed up.

I didn't know what to say. We left the bathroom and Elliot was leaving Cragen's office. Olivia and Elliot's eyes met and Olivia darted hers away. Elliot walked over to us.

Elliot: Hey Liv.

He said with a smile. Olivia gave him a dirty look and headed for the door.

Elliot: Liv what's wrong?

Olivia: YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID! HOW CAN YOU JUST LEAVE WITHOUT SAYING GOODBYE AND THEN SHOW YOUR FACE HERE 3 YEARS LATER?!

Elliot: Liv. I'm so sorry. I just couldn't say goodbye. It would've been too hard.

Olivia: You could've answered my calls and texts at least!!!!!!

Elliot sat there staring at Olivia. He had a look of guilt on his face.

Olivia walked forward and hugged him. She whispered in his ear.

Olivia: I'm glad you're back.

A wide smile spread across Olivia and Elliot's face. Elliot leaned back and kissed Olivia. Olivia pulled away in shock. I could tell she was twice as happy. Cragen and Fin looked as shocked as Olivia did.

Elliot: I'm glad I'm back too.

They kissed again.
