Chapter 13 – A Kink in the Road


"Babe, babe, babe," Natsu wondered if Lucy was alright.

"Lucy, I'm going home, you coming?" Lucy looked up at her pinked haired boyfriend and smiled.

"Yeah sure, sorry I've just been thinking about the layout for the new story."  She started packing up her stuff. It's been a month and a half since she met Natsu's parents and a week since he made his big announcement that was taking over the company; she was more worried about the 'new boss' banquet than her story layout.


- FLASH BACK TO THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT –


"Everyone gather around; we all know that we've been hearing all the rumors about our boss retiring and leaving the company to his heir." Erza explained as she motioned for Lucy to step up.

"I've had the chance to spend a lot of time with this so called heir; he's passionate and intriguing, he's perfect for the job and I'm not just saying it. The reason why we're the first to meet him is because we're the first to work with him." She and Erza walked to the side of a large panel that was positioned behind them; Lucy grasped the sheet that was hanging over it and pulled it off revealing the photo under it.


"Our new boss is Natsu Dragneel and current illustrator for our publishing division." Natsu walked up from his talking to Gray when he heard his name. He could swear that he heard some jaw drops and some brains rattle.


"Everyone, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you I was supposed to be the new boss; to be honest even my girlfriend didn't know," he nonchalantly grabbed Lucy's hand, "Lucy is probably the best girlfriend in the world because she didn't freak out when I told her. I wanted everyone here to be the first to know because I really liked this division overall the rest that my father has." He bent over to kiss Lucy on the cheek before continuing.


"I really like drawing for our publishing branch and I really hope that you can forgive me for not being truthful." He was sincere and honest; Lucy really was grateful to have Natsu in her life every day.


"Yeah, Boss, you said girlfriend; so you guys are like dating now?" Natsu noticed Lucy blush at Levy's question, quickly thinking on his feet blurted out a distraction.


"Yes, we are dating and Juvia and Gray are getting married." Natsu threw his hands in the air and started applauding. Everyone looked at Gray and Juvia and started shouting their congratulations to them. While Gray and Juvia got the attention of everyone, Natsu and Lucy slipped out of the crowd over to her office.


- END OF FLASH BACK-


"Babe, you know that you can talk to me about anything right?" Lucy nodded.


"I know, I guess I'm just nervous about this banquet they're gonna be having in your honor. I'm supposed to be your support but I can't seem to shake the fact that I went from dating my illustrator to dating my boss. It feels weird to be with man with so much power." She purred in his ear as they walked over to the elevator. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into the elevator gently nibbling on her ear.


"Natsu, stop people are gonna see." She giggled as she playfully wiggled in his arms.


"I can't, you know how much I love it when you purr in my ear like that." She turned around and gave him a quick kiss before the elevator doors opened. Natsu immediately grabbed her hand and intertwined his fingers with his, ignoring the stares she was getting while walking out of lobby with Natsu.


"Babe, I have to buy groceries, so I'm gonna go walk home today, okay." Lucy let go of Natsu's hand and started walking the other. She felt an arm grab her waist pulling her the other way knowing it could only be Natsu.


"Natsu, what are you doing?" Lucy squealed as he dragged her towards his car.


"You said we needed groceries, so WE are going to go buy groceries." Natsu emphasizing the 'we' in his sentence.  


"Alright, but you don't need to drag me to the car baby." Lucy felt him stop and looked over at him with an amused look in his eyes.


"I know but I just love how good you feel in my arms." He smiled as he hugged her and kissed her forehead.


"You know Natsu, I love you." She smiled; Lucy knew that she could never get enough of telling him that and he would never get tired of hearing it.


"I love too, Lucy; now how's about we get some groceries?" She giggled as he led her to his car that was parked under the building.


- AT HOME –


Lucy thought that she would make one of her favourite meals, steak with grilled potatoes and bell peppers. She sliced the peppers into long strips and cut the potatoes into pieces. She loved the aroma of grilled food and steak with red wine.


"Gosh, you look incredibly sexy when you're cooking." Natsu leaned over to give Lucy a kiss, full of passion and distraction.


"Maybe I should start cooking naked with only an apron on for you." Lucy was rather comfortable with that decision, mostly because when she was alone at home, she would do it.


"We could try that, the naked part, after we eat." Natsu said as he unbuttoned his shirt.


"Looks like you wanna skip dinner, Pinky." Lucy pointed her spoon at him.


"You're fifty percent right about that, Blondie. Half naked for dinner, full naked after dinner." Lucy smirked at his logic but didn't question it. Lucy dished out his food and then hers before sitting down at her bar-slash-island.


"So, is this how you're gonna be eating?" She motioned to his shirt fully opened and belt unlatched.


"Yes, this is how I shall be eating." He plopped a potato in his mouth. Lucy giggled at his childishness but that was one of the reasons why she loved the guy so much.


"Lucy, seriously, just marry me so I can get more of your cooking; I'm begging you." She looked at him, contemplating what she should say.


"You don't have to marry me just so you can get my cooking, Natsu." She thought her answer was logical even though she knew that wasn't the answer he was looking for.


"Besides, you are here every day anyway; you even have clothes here that are clean that you need to take home." She pointed to her bedroom.


"Stuff them into your closet; I sleep here most of the time anyway and thank you for washing my clothes, I know that's what you were fishing for." Natsu was taught to always have manners but he forgot to tell Lucy how much he appreciated the way she took care of the little things he would often forget.


"I wasn't fishing for any 'thank you' Natsu, okay; I was simply stating a fact that my closet doesn't have much space left. Maybe five or six more full outfits and that's pretty much it; I'm gonna need another closet." Lucy was really wishing that she had a walk-in closet for her stuff, like the one Natsu had at his mini-mansion.

"Okay, gimme all your sleeping clothes and I'll put them in my closet at home. You know, the walk-in you sat in for an entire weekend because you loved it so much." Lucy was beginning to wonder if she was that transparent.


"Wait, why all my sleeping clothes?" She was beginning to wonder where this was going.


"Because you have a lot and I prefer when you sleep in one of my t-shirts anyway." Natsu had a good point, even though she didn't want to admit it, she really liked his t-shirts too.


"Alright, remind me to pack them up before we go to your mini-mansion this weekend." She teased.


"It could be our mini-mansion if you just say yes." Natsu was one hundred percent sure that she had already said yes but he kept putting off buying that damn ring. He watched Lucy as she picked up his plate and then hers and put them into the sink before washing them. He got up and walked into her room, plopping down onto the bed then tugging off his shirt and pants and throwing them into her laundry basket. He stared up the ceiling listening to Lucy hum as she washed the dishes, wondering how he got so lucky to get a girl like her in his life. Without warning, he heard the shower turn on; he sprung up into a sitting position taking off his boxers and walking towards the bathroom.


"Natsu, what are doing?" Lucy looked at him walk in stark naked.


"I'm gonna take a shower; would you care to join me?" He offered his hand hoping she would take it.


"It's looks like I'll have to since you cared to take it away from me." Lucy took his hand as he pulled her into his arms and gave a lustful kiss. He tugged at the buttons on her blouse, sliding it down her shoulders.


"I think you want more than just a shower, Mr. Dragneel." She whispered against his neck as she left a trail of hot kisses down his neck and moving to his chest.


"Really, you think so, Ms. Heartfilia?" He unbuttoned her jean shorts and simultaneously pulled them down with her underwear; moving to her bra and unclipping the back while keeping her lips locked on his.


"Well, we might as well get in the shower; it is getting warm." Lucy stepped into the shower and let the warm water beat down on her skin before switching places with Natsu. Natsu puller her closer to him so that they could both be under the shower; Lucy reached over for her body wash and poured the contents of the bottle into her hands and lathering all over his body. Lucy knew that Natsu had a great body but she carefully passed soapy hands all over his body making sure she took in every muscle that well sculpted onto him.


"I didn't know you had a scar on your neck." Lucy pointed out as she lathered his neck; Lucy was enjoying herself scrubbing Natsu clean, it was the first time she had every done it and she was sure it wouldn't be the last time either. Natsu felt his hair standing on edge Lucy passed her hands over his body but he wouldn't let her get away with having all the fun. He grabbed the bottle, squeezing a handful into his palm and spreading it over her breast massaging them, knowing that she would those sounds that drove his testosterone wild and Lucy didn't disappoint in making his head go wild.


The more he massaged her breasts, the louder she moaned. In surprise, Lucy took hold of his shaft and began soaping it, gripping it then moving up and down, her hand tightening around earning soft moans and grunt from her pink haired lover. Natsu quickly turned her around, squeezing her butt cheeks and bringing his hands to her front, gripping her triangle and making her back arch with his every touch. Natsu loved hearing how her breath hitched with every touch and how hot he could make her just by touching all the right places and he learned more of them every time they made love.


He pulled her under the shower, rinsing of all the soap they had lathered on each other. He couldn't wait to take her every time and right then was no exception; Natsu lifted Lucy, bringing her legs around his waist. He looked into her eyes, he kissed her and placed himself at her entrance; making sure to tease her lower body before he gave her all of him.


Lucy hated it when Natsu teased her; he would start off so slow putting her on edge just before he pleasured her completely. Lucy felt him slowly sliding into her, making her want more; Natsu knew how to make Lucy beg and he took complete advantage of it by all means. Before he was fully inside her, she tightened around his very stiff member for good measure; she knew how much that drove him crazy. Lucy could recall one time when she did it, Natsu near went hysterical moaning louder every time he plunged himself into her. This time didn't fail either, Lucy watched as spread his legs apart just by a small amount.


"You ready?" Natsu asked as he leaned her against the tiled wall behind her.


"Break me if you need to." Lucy felt Natsu pull out, bracing herself for the thrust didn't prepare her for how he felt inside her when he was her only support from falling. If anything were to happen, she was sure that Natsu would know exactly how to take care of it. Natsu didn't know that making love to Lucy could be this exhilarating; he loved art and to him Lucy was a living, breathing statue. He listened to the way Lucy moaned him name and the way the water beat down on them; the sound of skin slapping skin against water was like an orchestra playing and he was the conductor.


"Natsu, deeper." Lucy moaned louder.


"Harder." Natsu was obedient to her command.


"Oh God, Natsu, keep going." Lucy moaned louder.


"Don't stop Natsu, please don't stop." He wouldn't stop even if she had begged; he was in too deep into the rhythm.


"Natsu!" Louder.


"Natsu!!" Lucy moaned louder.


"Natsu!!!" Lucy moaned even louder; she could feel her legs turn to jelly but she held on nonetheless.


"Lucy, don't go anywhere without me." Natsu said between pants, knowing that Lucy was about to reach her limit.


"Just a little more Lucy." Natsu was breathless.


"Oh Natsu." Lucy felt his shaft throb inside her.


"Shit, Lucy." Natsu felt Lucy tighten around him.


"Natsu/Lucy." Both of them simultaneously reaching their peak of ecstasy, screaming each other's names and then slowly dying down on the high they gave each other.


"We should do this in the shower more often." Lucy laughed at his suggestion but would agree nonetheless.


- TIME SKIP TO THE BANQUET –


"Natsu, hurry up; we're gonna be late for your coronation." Lucy had lately found out Natsu hated when she called it coronation.


"Babe, it's not a coronation; it's my father's resignation and passing over of office to me. It's not even a big deal, just for the employees, some investors and our heads of department." Saying as he walked out of Lucy's room. Natsu made it sound like it wasn't a big deal but it was the biggest deal to be made.


"Passing over of office sound like you're a politician and you and I both know that you aren't crooked and/ or corrupted, just a little sexual frustration on your part that's all." She smiled as she tied his bowtie and fix his collar.


"Why do I have to wear this monkey suit babe?" Lucy thought Natsu looked gorgeous in his tuxedo.


"The invitations said that it was formal attire, so no, you couldn't wear jeans and I was definitely not gonna be wearing shorts." Natsu's Aunt sent her a beautiful champagne colored, floor length halter dress for the occasion with jewels encrusted on the neckline and on the waist. Even if it wasn't a coronation for a king, Lucy definitely felt like a princess.


"Alright, you look very presentable and handsome, now let's go." Lucy picked up her clutch and shawl waiting for Natsu to lead her out.


"Lucy, you look very beautiful." She blushed as Natsu complimented her and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.


"Thank you." She held his hand as he walked out of his house.


- AT THE BANQUET –

Lucy wondered mindlessly around with a glass of champagne in her hand; she couldn't seem to get it pass her throat. Earlier in the afternoon, she was feeling a bit nauseous hoping it would subside with no luck, it got worse. She spoke with Natsu a bit after the ceremony was done but that was two hours ago; every now and then she would see him shaking hands with a different person, knowing that they were probably investors. Out of nowhere she bumped into a white haired girl about her age. Recognizing her as Lisanna Strauss, Mirajane's younger sister whom is the assistant to Makarov Dreyar. She looked spectacular in her floor length, lavender, strapless dress.


"Lisanna, it's so good to see you." Lucy hugged her, glad to have found someone she knew.


"Lucy, thank goodness I found someone that I know." It's like Lisanna read her mind.


"What are you doing here, Lisanna?" Lucy queried.


"I recently got married and my husband is one of the investors in the company. That's actually how he and I met and got to know each other." She giggled as she looked over at a group of men, pointing out one of them with blue and black hair.


"His name is Bickslow; he's one of the investors in the company. I thought he was weird at first but then as I got to know him, it's like we kind of clicked with each other. Sometimes we even have a habit of finishing each other's sentences. Elfman even said it was dorky the way we fit into each other, like a puzzle." Lucy could see the look of admiration and love that Lisanna had towards her husband; it was the same look that Natsu gave her. She watched as Bickslow tear himself away from the group and walk over to Lisanna.


"Hi sweetie, who is your friend?" Bickslow kissed her without even looking at Lucy.


"Baby, this is Lucy, Natsu's girlfriend and writer." Bickslow offered his hand and Lucy was more than willing to take it.


"So you're the reason why Lisanna looks so gorgeously happy this fine night and thank you bringing her, I have someone to talk to while I'm here." He smiled, kissing her hand before letting go to hug Lisanna.


"You're very welcome milady, thank you for keeping her company. Now, you're the reason why that pink headed son of a gun is wearing a suit." Bickslow shook his head in approval.


"Yes, I am; he and I fought tooth and nail for him to wear that suit but he wore it." She looked over in his direction.


"You're a godsend for that man; I don't think I have ever seen him look this professional or formal ever." He chuckled when Igneel and Grandine walked over.


"Excuse me Lisanna; we must snatch away your charming husband for a little while longer. Lucy darling you look absolutely magnificent as always." Grandine complimented Lucy before she walked away with Bickslow and Igneel. Lucy noticed a tall, brunette woman walking through the crowd towards Natsu. She assumed it was an investor staking her piece of the company.


"Lisanna, how long have you and Bickslow been married?" Lucy was anxious to know.


"Oh, about six months and last month, I found out that I'm pregnant." Lucy squealed along with Lisanna as she said it but before she could congratulate Lisanna all she could hear through the crowd was the sound a woman and murmurs that followed behind it.


"Natsu, baby, I've been looking everywhere for you. How could you forget to tell your wife about this shindig happening for you?" As Lucy turned around to see what was happening, her eyes lay on Natsu and the mysterious brunette kissing. When they broke away from each other, Natsu looked over at Lucy but before he could get his word in Bickslow stepped in front of her.


"Lucy, would you like a ride home? Lisanna doesn't want to stay out late because of the baby and you don't look like you're comfortable with the attention being brought you way." Lucy refused to cry, refused to let any tears fall because of Natsu; she shook her and got up and walked away with Lisanna and Bickslow.
