Chapter 12 – Dinner with the Family

Lucy stared at the huge house they approached but she didn't think that the house would be this big. She gaped at the sight as they drove into the driveway and Natsu carefully parked his car behind a small blue car just the right size for Wendy. She was nervous before but now it was comparably even worse. She gulped, wanting to turn back the moment he turned off the engine. She took deep breathes, hoping that I would calm her nerves and relieve the giant knot in her stomach.

"Babe, you're gonna be fine; just relax and don't think negative thoughts and all you have to do is be yourself." Lucy thought that was easy for him to say, he lived with them his entire life, he knew them ; Lucy on the other hand was the woman who was enjoying making sweet love to him over and over again twice before they walked out his house. They had to call saying that they would be running late twice.

"Alright then, let's go; don't want to be later than we already are." Lucy watched as Natsu get out and then follow behind him.

"Don't worry, Okay?" He kissed the top of her forehead; she automatically felt better he wrapped his arms around her waist and pull her closer to him. Lucy always loved how warm he felt and listened to his heartbeat play like a song against her ear. They walked in through the side door leading into the kitchen and hearing the commotion coming from the living room. They walked slowly towards the living room, peeking to see what was happening not prepared for charades. Lucy giggled while Natsu felt completely and thoroughly embarrassed at his parents display.

"Natsu, sweetheart, come play with us." Natsu's mother called over to him after noticing he had arrived.

"No thanks mom, you guys look equal and you're doing great." He reassured not wanting to get in the middle of their fun. "Besides, I brought Lucy, she's really eager to meet you guys and I'm hungry so let's eat." Natsu pulled Lucy into the living room with him, clasping her fingers between his and kissing them. Lucy blushed red and looked at his parents who were smiling.

"Hi Lucy, I'm Grandine and Natsu's mom; this is Igneel Dragneel, Natsu's father. We are so glad to finally meet you, he can't stop talking about you and how pretty you are and how you fit into his weird uncle's three B's category." Grandine sighed, taking in the full sight of Lucy before pulling her into a hug and squealing.

"Lucy, it's nice to finally meet you; as my wife introduced me, I'm Igneel Dragneel." He held out his hand.

"Yes, sir and you are also my boss." Accepting his hand and shaking as best as she could. Lucy carefully looked at him, thinking that the rumors about Igneel Dragneel were maybe just a rumor. He didn't look like the kind of man that can move a mountain or topple empires; he had kind eyes like Natsu and realizing that Natsu got his good looks from his father.

"You can let go of my hand, Lucy." Catching up that she was still holding his hand; she flushed after she let it go and clinged to Natsu's side.

"Dad, you're making her nervous." Igneel raised his hands in defeat, not knowing he made her feel that way.

"Alright, my apologies Lucy." He leaned over and kissed her on her cheek, prompting her to go beet red.

"It's fine, I guess meeting my boyfriend's parents makes me a tiny bit anxious." She chuckled

"Boyfriend?" She looked at Natsu, he looked like he was about to burst with absolute joy. He picked her up and spun her around in a circle while she held onto his neck for dear life. He stopped, put her down and kiss her full on the lips; she didn't mind the kiss but was really a bit embarrassed when both his hands grabbed her butt cheeks and squeezed them in front of his parents. She tried pulling away from him but his grasp just got tighter every time she was about to get free.
