The Dress

She sat fidgeting in the hallway of Grandine for 15 minutes without even a detail of what was going on or when she could get up; when she tried, Grandine yelled from upstairs for her not to move a muscle. She was getting tired of the wait and she really wanted something to eat, Grandine had her special made brownies that Lucy fell in love with. She tapped on the arm of her seat and waited and waited for them to be done but it seemed like forever.

"Lucy, can you come up here please?" Grandine yelled.

"Okay, I'll be up right now." Lucy yelled back, getting up and walking into the kitchen for brownies and milk.

"What's up? You both had me waiting for so long down stairs and I was hungry you know." Lucy pouted for a moment before walking over to Grandine and Porlyschia.

"Well, we wanted to give you your wedding present, Grandine and I. We really hope you like it and since the wedding is just a couple of days away we thought that you should have it now." Porlyschia walked over and grabbed Lucy's hand pulling her into the direction of the closet.

"I thought of the design and Porlyschia drew it and made our vision a reality." Grandine held her hand, smiling at her. Lucy began tearing up and sniffling at the sight of one of the most beautiful dress she had ever seen.

"I love it, I love it so much; it's beautiful and everything, the detailing is amazing." Lucy admired the flower detailing on the skirt and the halter design at the neck. Lucy never thought that she would ever wear something like this, it was her one in a million, just like Natsu.

"Lucy, we were wondering if you had a venue yet?" She blinked up at them, remembering that Natsu had told her that he had already told his mother that the wedding would be at his house. She caught on.

"No, actually I wanted to ask you about that; I was wondering if maybe we could have it here, if that were appropriate?" Lucy could tell from the smile on her face, she wanted the wedding to be at their house. It made sense that they wanted it to be there, Natsu grew up there with his family and everything he he has is there. She thought it must be hard for Grandine to watch her son put another woman as his priority.

"That would be a great idea!" Grandine gave Lucy a warm hug, wrapping her arms around her and giving her a slight squeeze.

"Don't worry mom, I'll make sure a take good care of Natsu and always bring him home on the weekends." Lucy whispered in her ear. Grandine hearing her hushed speaking and hearing what said made her cry, knowing that Lucy understood why she asked about the venue.

"Well, now that we have two things sorted out let's move onto the decorations and wedding themes." Grandine slung one arm around Porlyschia and dragged her sister and soon-to-be daughter-in-law downstairs so they could eat and plan.

Grandine sat and watched Lucy muse over some of the magazines that she had picked along the way to mall the other day, she was glad she got them. She felt lucky, more than she usually did; her son was getting married to the greatest woman she had ever met and she understood Grandine when it came to her son. She knew Natsu had made a great choice when it came to Lucy, she never doubted him for a second.

"What time is it?" Lucy looked at the clock, having a perplexed look on her face.

"Natsu said he would be here by 3:00 pm and it's 4:30 pm, I hope he's okay and not eating his way through the house!" Lucy said frantically.

"He' ll be fine; must of fell asleep while eating out the house." Porlyschia joked, but Grandine and Lucy had a feeling that she was right about that.

They all sweat dropped and remembered that the person they were talking about was Natsu of course, anything was possible with him. Deciding to call it an evening, Lucy and Porlyschia packed their stuff and left leaving Grandine in the house. She heard footsteps, immediately thinking it was Igneel, only to find an old flame of hers standing in her kitchen door way.

"Weisslogia." Grandine froze in her spot, she couldn't believe he still had his hold over her.
