Lucy heard Sting's footsteps as passed the living room, making his way to the door. She gently stroked Natsu's hair as he stared at her belly.
"Natsu, I wanna tell you everything about me." Lucy looked out the window.
"From start to here?" Natsu looked at her, he grabbed her hand and brought it down to his lips.
"Yes, from start to here." She smiled, looking at him.
"Alright then, let's get started then." Natsu closed his eyes, preparing himself for when she started.
"I was born July 1st, X759 and I'm two years younger than you are. I grew up in a town named Lilian Town, it's in the center of the country. My mom got really sick when I was about four years old and she died when I was six." Lucy paused talking about her mother brought up a lot of sad memories but she held back the tears.
"My dad loved my mom beyond comparison and when she died, he kind of just threw himself into his work. I spent a lot of my time with Sting because I was alone and I wanted a friend." Lucy laughed remembering what happened one time when Sting's mom got angry at them one day.
"Well, why didn't you call me?" Natsu joked.
"I didn't know you." Lucy playfully hit his arm.
"Wouldn't hurt to pick up a phone." Natsu held her hand close to his heart.
"Anyway, I spent a lot of time with him; there was this one time that me and him got into so much trouble with his mom. We were outside playing and we ran through her garden and destroyed every single flower, his mom threw a fit and she got so red. Mr. Weisslogia watched and laughed and laughed, then she got even angrier; he ended up saving me that day from my dad, he was able to soothe down his wife, she completely forgot about it." Lucy laughed as she told the story.
"What else? Talk about school." Natsu poked her belly.
"I loved school, especially high school. I was the school's vice president; when I was in my senior year, me and Sting were crowned the queen and king of senior prom. When I graduated, my dad moved out here to Crocus and I was accepted to Era University with a major in law and minor in literature." Lucy was getting closer to the good parts.
"Sting and I met this guy named Rogue, he is the best in the world; he was always picky and quite cumbersome but he was smart and we would hang out together. Then Sting and I started dating after a while, when people always asked us if we were so we decided let's just try it out. It was no different than us being best friends but more intimate." Lucy paused again and smiled.
"Not too intimate, I hope." Natsu looked annoyed.
"I genuinely fell in love with him when I saw the boyfriend side of Sting, he was the perfect boyfriend: charming, spontaneous, mannerly. Eventually, we got engaged then one night after our graduation party, we got totally wasted and I called up a couple of my really close friends and told them we're gonna married right then and to come." Lucy smiled wanting to know what Natsu would say after hearing her.
"I knew you were a drunk." Natsu saying bluntly, the comment she had been waiting for. She laughed.
"Cancer, my hairdresser met me and asked me is this is what I really wanted and I told him yes. He looked at me and said 'Being married is completely different than being boyfriend/ girlfriend; you have to share everything, you have to counsel and make decisions together but the good thing is that there is a certain comfort in being married to one another, you have each other. You're still young, be selfish until you're ready to be selfless.' I took what he said into consideration and broke off the engagement. We haven't really talked since then." Lucy smacked her lips.
"I wanted to be a writer and so I applied to the company and the rest is history. I wrote my children's books and then I met this really weird artist named Natsu Dragneel and I fell in love with him; now we're gonna get married and have kids soon." Lucy sighed, she had told Natsu everything about her and waited for him reply.
"I love you. I can't wait to start my life with you." Natsu sat properly and held her hand.
**********
Grandine and Igneel listened to Lucy and Natsu talking; they looked at each other and smiled.
"We raised him right, you know." Igneel putting his hand over her shoulders.
"He got a great influence in you." Grandine kissed his cheek.
"So, shouldn't we surprise them with a wedding?" Igneel whispered into her ear.
"Start calling your contacts then, we've got a wedding to put together." Grandine already had the dress and food wouldn't a problem. They saw a small wedding just for the two of them, close family and friends were all they needed.
