Fairy Tail Inc.
Chapter 10 - Sure
Lucy contemplated just how such a letter got into her apartment; she didn't remember ever picking it up out of her stack of bills and subscribed magazines. The only way it could have made its way in was if someone hand delivered it and that was making Lucy feel a bit uneasy. She wrapped Natsu's shirt around her chest, feeling a bit paranoid as if someone were watching her. She lay on the couch staring at the ceiling for a little while thinking about what Natsu had said: Could she forgive him for not saying who he really was? Would she have said yes to any of his advances? Would she have made love to the man who was asleep in her bed right now? She bombarded herself with questions she didn't have answers to but she was sure that she loved him.
She thought maybe some TV would make her feel better, seeing as how it was the weekend and she didn't need to show up to work tomorrow or the next day. Turning the TV on, Lucy began flipping through channels moving from a health show to exercise to a documentary about fish. She stopped at an adult rated film, tilting her head to the side where she began wondering how ever they got into that position was beyond her. Natsu getting her legs to over his shoulders was task all on its own because she wasn't very flexible but he rather seemed to prefer her legs to be close at his sides where he knew she secured and right there with him.
She changed the channel coming onto a romantic comedy, she felt entranced by the plotline: Jessica was a queer woman who didn't have much experience when it came to men but she didn't really pick on the interest of men anyway. Lucy felt like she could relate so much with the character; Jessica's boss takes a liking to her and begins asking her out but she is unaware of his past where his entire family was all gangsters. Lucy laughed when an ex-girlfriend came and tried to put up a fight with Jessica and cried when Mathew confessed his ever undying love for her with his family shouting behind him urging him to kiss his girl. She had fallen in love with him and his family, even with a shady past; she didn't care about status or social standing, this guy made her feel special and that's that mattered in the end. After the movie credits, Jessica and Mathew are married with a baby on the way listening to her mother-in-law and father-in-law argue about baby names.
Lucy wondered if it was a sign, looking up at the ceiling hoping maybe some of the answers would fall with no avail but she would get this movie in her DVR, she liked it. Lucy got up from the couch picking up the letter and placing it in her coffee table drawer. As Lucy returned to the bedroom, watching Natsu sleep like a caveman she began thinking that maybe she didn't have all the answers but with Natsu, forgiving him for not saying anything was a start. She walked over to the bed placing her head on Natsu's chest, feeling his hand pull the shirt off her leaving her naked.
"Where did you go? I was all lonely in here without you, you know." Natsu's voice was groggy and sleepy but understandable.
"Couldn't sleep so I watched a movie for a bit." Lucy yawned, sleep wanting to set in.
"You have to tell me about it tomorrow, it must have been nice just like you." Natsu shifted, pulling Lucy in for a full hug before kissing her before drifting back to sleep. Lucy knew she had forgiven him before she even realized it just by getting back into her bed. She knew three things: one, she loved him; two, she had already forgiven him and three; she really liked that movie and she was sure that rest of the answers would follow behind eventually.
