The Secret's Come Out - Part 2

Recap:

"Well, aren't we a close family now." Weisslogia walked in uninvited, behind him was Sting Eucliffe, son of Weisslogia Eucliffe.

"Lucy, what are you doing here?" Sting rushed over to hug her.

"Sting, Mr. Weiss, what are you doing here?" Lucy hugged him back and waved to Weisslogia.

"Lucy, how do you Weisslogia and his son?" Grandine stood as she looked to Lucy.

"I went to school with Sting and I know Mr. Weisslogia from my childhood days." Lucy wondered what was happening as she answered.

"We were also engaged, Lucy. We were supposed to get married after graduation but it never happened." Sting smiled not letting go Lucy's hand.

"Small world then." Wendy said, trying to ease the tension in the room with no avail. Both Dragneel men in a stare with both Eucliffe men made the room lose oxygen; Weisslogia broke eye contact with Igneel and walked over to Wendy.

"You were engaged before me? Why didn't you tell me?" Natsu backed away from Lucy, his eyes moving between Lucy and Sting.

"I didn't tell you because it was years ago, it wasn't something that was relevant at the time." Lucy pulled her hand out of Sting's and walked over to Natsu.

"It was completely relevant, you were about to give your entire life to someone else five years ago; how is that not relevant? You passed the Bar exams four years ago, that just recently happened." Natsu's tone of voice changing, becoming angrier.

"So , you re-took that Bar like they told you to?" Sting butted in knowing well how it would affect Natsu but he wasn't ready to give Lucy up just yet.

"You re-took the bar? What does he mean by that Lucy?" Natsu's anger becoming more evident.

"I took it once when I was still in school but because I hadn't graduated, they couldn't accept me. I had the grades the first time round but I wasn't certified; then I took it again after I had graduated and I got my license." Lucy was scared what Natsu would do next, he began pacing and pursing his lips.

"Why does he know more about you than I do?" Natsu looked at Lucy, she could see the hurt and betrayal in his eyes. He turned around, looking at his mother who was telling him to calm down but he couldn't. Lucy moved over to him slowly not wanting to excite him in anyway.

"Natsu, he's known me longer; we were neighbors growing up back in Lilian Town. We were best friends when we entered college together and we're still friends now but that doesn't change the fact that I love you and I want to be with you." Lucy put her hand on his shoulder, in reaction to the gesture to bat her hand away.

SLAP!!

His anger had gotten the better of him and he had just slapped the woman he loved. Lucy stood there, frozen with shock. Her body wracked with guilt and sadness, the back of Natsu's hand had struck her and she could fell the sting of it on her cheek.

Natsu panted heavily, not realizing what had happened until Sting grabbed Lucy and hugged her. She was crying. Natsu was the reason she had been crying. His head began spinning and he walked closer to her to see the damage; there was a pink hand print where white porcelain skin usually resided. His widened in shock, he couldn't believe what he had done.

"Lucy, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to do tha---" He was cut off by a slap. Wendy had slapped him across his face and he thought to himself that he righteously deserved it.

"Wendy, don't slap your brother like that." Grandine rushed over to see if Natsu was okay.

"How could you? You're my big brother, you're suppose to love the woman whose pregnant with your child not turn around and be angry with over something as insignificant as the past." Wendy strode out of the kitchen, Lucy's eyes following close behind. She made a step to follow her but was instantly grabbed at her thighs, making stop in her tracks. She looked down to see Natsu on his knees, tears in his eyes and looking at her like a lost puppy.

"Lucy, please forgive me. I didn't mean to do what I did. I don't want to lose you and whatever happened in the past happened. I can't live my life without you." Natsu cut off by sobs, his entire body shaking.

"Lucy, I love you so much. You had so many other choices and you chose me, I am the fortunate one here. Please don't leave me; please, please, please, please, please, please, please. Don't take my baby away, I don't want you to leave. So choose me, always choose me." Natsu started coughing, unable to hold back anymore, trying to catch his breath. Grandine tried pulling Natsu but he refused to let go of her legs.

Lucy thought as she listened to him, as she looked into his eyes, that he meant every word that he had said. He was like a child that was throwing tantrum; not wanting to let go of his favorite toy. That was what Lucy was to him, his favorite toy and that was what Natsu was to her, her favorite toy. They were meant to love each other. The more Grandine pulled at Natsu, the more he held on; until she felt his hands at her stomach, where the baby was. She gasped knowing that he wanted to hold the baby, trying to find comfort in her touch.

Igneel could see that this was going nowhere. He noticed Natsu's hands searching, looking for something and when he found Lucy's belly he stopped. He was wanted to be as close as possible to the baby as he could get. He took his first step, Grandine stopped, she held onto Natsu; she tugged at his shirt to let go. Igneel strode over to Grandine and picked her up.

"Grandine let them work it out, listen to your son." Igneel calmed down Grandine and listened intently to Natsu.

"Daddy is so sorry, daddy didn't mean to hurt mommy. He was just angry and was acting like a jerk but he didn't mean it. I am so sorry Iggy; Iggy, please forgive daddy." Natsu clutched Lucy for dear life.

Lucy listened intently, she started crying all over again. Tears of joy falling from her eyes; he had already thought of a name for the baby; her heart was light and her body finally felt like it could move again.

"What if it's a girl?" Lucy managed.

"What?" Natsu said, bringing his head up to face her.

"What if it's a girl?" Lucy repeated her question to Natsu.

"Nashi Layla Dragneel if it's a girl and Iggy Levin Dragneel if it's a boy." Natsu got, wrapping his arms around Lucy, never wanting to let go.

"You already thought of the names." Lucy whispered into his ear, she reciprocated the action, making Natsu sigh in relief. Lucy took Natsu's hand and led him into the next room, she would want to sit down and he would want to lay down on her lap and listen to her stomach, even though he couldn't hear anything. Let the adults speak, Lucy wanted to stay in her bubble of peace.

Sting watched as Lucy became frustrated, shocked, sad and happy all in fifteen minutes of being with Natsu Dragneel; she really loved him and he knew that he couldn't take her away from him. Rogue would say he gave up too quickly but even he could see how much he loved her and the way she loved him.

"Dad, I'll be the car waiting for you." Sting passed his dad and passed Lucy with Natsu in the living room where she had been telling him about her childhood days, maybe it was best that she air it all out. He walked to the door, only to hear footsteps behind him. It was his father, he walked past him not even bothering to to look in his direction.

"Let's go Sting, there's nothing here for us." Weisslogia stepped out the door and walking to the car, Sting wondered what happened but he didn't need an explanation, he was glad to know that he was welcome to see Wendy anytime.

This book is almost done, only about three or four more chapters left to and that's it we are done. I really appreciate how much everyone has read the book so far and when this is done I'll b focusing on my other two 'Dragon to the throne' and 'Undercover'.
