Katie's POV
Monday's are the worst especially after the hurtful weekend I had but it doesn't matter Rye hasn't spoken to me all weekend I'm worried
Rye: Katie
I turned around he looked so broken
Katie: Rye what's wrong
He didn't say anything he just hugged me and cried I've never seen him cry
Katie: hey it's ok it's going to be ok
Rye shook his head
Rye: he's not getting better
Katie: who isn't
Rye: my little brother Shaun
Katie: what happened
We sat on the wall
Rye: he got hit by a car and he's really bad he hasn't woken up
He said and started crying again I hugged him again
Katie: he will be ok he's strong just like his big brother ok
He looked at me and smiled
Rye: thank you
Katie: no problem what's what bestfriends are for right
He nodded I smiled at him and stood up and held my hand out he grabbed it and stood up
Katie: lets go to class we are late and you know what miss Moore is like
He laughs and nods and we made our way to religious studies and sat down I knew Rye wasn't up for listening so I did his work for him he was just sat playing with his hands I didn't say anything because I didn't want to annoy him
(Lunch)
Rye sat with me today we sat in silence until of course the girls came over and started now really wasn't the time I saw mr flint look at us and I nodded he knew that something was going to happen and he knew the situation with Ryan he walked over to us before anything could start
Mr F: ladies and James take a seat or go outside
Jessica: we are just asking Katie a few questions
Mr F: no you're not
Jessica: wait Ryan hows your brother
I looked towards rye he looked down
Jessica: someone told me he was dying
Rye then stood up
Rye: shut the fuck up
James then stood in front of Rye
James: don't talk to her like that
Rye: back off
Mr flint got another teacher because Rye can get very angry in these situations mr Walton came just as James pushed Rye I looked at Rye he was so angry I grabbed his hand as I saw they were scrunched in a fist and he relaxed well not for long because someone pushed James into Rye and then he lost hit he pushed James to the floor and he bashed his head against a table the whole cafeteria just looked
Mr F: Katie please take him away
I nodded and walked out to the head of year office where miss Scott was sat
Miss Scott: hey what's happened
She said as she saw Rye he was crying and he was angry he didn't say anything
Katie: Jessica and her group came up to us and they hit a sensitive topic about Rye and Rye got mad and stood up I admit he swore at Jessica and then James got all up in his face and pushed Rye I got Rye to calm down but someone pushed James into Rye and rye pushed James to the floor
