Ryes pov
I woke up cuddling Katie I smiled to myself I was thinking about last night and how she told us about her brother it made me think about Shaun because he was in a similar situation i sighed I looked at the time and it was 9:30am I got out of bed and walked downstairs to see my mother
Rye: hey mum
I hugged her
Mum: hey darling
She smiled slightly
Rye: everything ok where is dad, Robbie and the twins
Mum: Robbie went grocery store and your dad took the twins to Shaun's check up
I nod the door opened and the twins walked in
Shaun: hey Rye
He hugged me
Rye: hey buddy
I hugged back my mind flasbacked to when my mum told me Shaun was hurt
Mum: Rye are you ok
She knelt down in front of me I looked at her and nodded dad walked in with Robbie with the groceries
Rye: dad how is Shaun doing
He ignored me
Rye: dad
Still no answer
Rye: dad
Dad: Ryan can't you shut up for one second for crying out loud you're always talking I wish you'd just shut up and never speak again
He shouted at me he's never shouted at me
Mum: Rye
I run upstairs and into my bedroom and lock the door
Katie: Rye what's wrong
I shrugged and Laid on her lap she played with my hair and I found myself shaking
Katie: what's wrong rye
I shrugged again
Katie: look at me
I looked at her and she looked worried
Katie: you can tell me anything
I nod I obviously didn't want to speak because I didn't want to be annoying she sighed and sat up I sat up with her
Katie: talk to me Ryan
Rye: fine my dad told me he wished I never spoke again
Katie's pov
He looked down I lifted his chin up his eyes were glossy
Katie: I love the way you talk ok I'm sure your dad is stressed out ok don't think about it too much
I smiled and hugged him I hated seeing Rye sad it makes me sad someone knocked on the door and I unlocked the door Ryes dad walked in
Katie: I'll leave you two to talk
