Katie's pov

I walked into the cafeteria with Rye and we went to sit down
Rye : I'm glad I met you Katie
I looked at him
Katie : why
I smiled
Rye : you're a nice person and you have been my first friend here
He smiled I was about to talk when a group of girls started to walk up I rolled my eyes
Courtney : why have you been texting my boyfriend
I laughed and ignored her Rye just looked at me
Courtney: don't ignore me
Katie : I wouldn't text your boyfriend hun now can you leave me alone
Courtney: no I won't leave you alone
Rye looked mad
Courtney: I'm talking to you
Rye stood up
Rye: ok she told you she hasn't messaged your boyfriend so you can leave her alone now ok
Courtney just looked at him and walked away
Katie : thanks you didn't have to do that I'm used to it
Rye: well you shouldn't be
I shrugged and he sighed the bell rang and we walked to dance
Katie : hey miss this is Rye he is in our class and I was just wondering if we could do a hip hop dance together
Miss p: yes of course it's nice to see a boy in here go get changed and you can start we walked to the changing room
Katie : meet me here after ok
He nodded and I walked into the girls changing room where Jessica was I rolled my eyes and started changing
Jessica: just because Ryan is around doesn't mean we won't leave you alone he feels sorry for you I heard him talk to Ben earlier didn't he Emma
She nodded I frowned and finished changing and walked out Rye was standing there I smiled slightly
Rye : you ok
Katie : yeah
He nodded and we walked into the room and waited for the others
Katie : Rye
He looked at me
Katie : you do want to be my friend right
Rye : duh girl I couldn't ask for a better friend than you
He smiled whilst doing a sassy click which made me laugh
Rye: what makes you say that
Katie: just Jessica and Emma said they heard you talking to Ben and said you only feel sorry for me
Rye: eww they give me negative vibes but honestly I'm glad we are friends
He put his arm around me and I laid my head on his shoulder we waited a few minutes until the rest came in and then we went and made a routine very slowly it was so fun
Miss P: Katie, Rye come here please
We both walked to her
Miss P: this dance routine is so good and we have spots for the school talent show maybe you should sign up for it
Rye looked at me I shrugged he nodded
Rye: sure
Miss P: ok that's great I'll just email head of year
We both nodded and we went to get changed
Jessica: you can't even dance
I just ignored her and walked out and saw Rye
I hate life
