Katie's pov
Monday came around and I wasn't ready my parents came round yesterday and told me how disappointed they were in me I need to get away from this place
(PE)
I was waiting for my teacher to tell me what we were doing and a boy called luke walked up to me
Luke: I'm sorry that your brother died
I was shocked nobody knew I told the teachers not to tell anyone I just told everyone he had moved
Katie: what?
Luke: Ryan told me
Katie: Ryan?
Luke: Beaumont
I was so angry I walked to Ben
Katie: have you seen rye
Ben: he's in the sports hall where everyone is
I nod and walk in I'm so angry I walked in and saw him talking to Jayden he looked at me and smiled I walked to him and punched him
Rye: what was that for?!!!
He shouted
Katie: THATS FOR TELLING LUKE ABOUT LEWIS DYING
Rye: WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVEN'T SAID ANYTHING
his lip was bleeding and there was already a bruise forming yeah I can punch pretty good
Katie: WHY DID LUKE COME AND TELL ME THAT YOU DID
rye: BECAUSE HE IS FRIENDS WITH JESSICA OBVIOUSLY AND SHE CLEARLY KNOWS SOMETHING AND TOLD HIM
I widen my eyes in realisation that Jessica was there at the accident I turned around and saw Luke and Jessica that mean nobody actually knew
Katie: rye I'm so sorry
Rye: forget it
He said and walked out
Jayden: he won't be mad for too long he cares about you
I sighed and ran out
Katie: Rye wait up
He stopped and turned around
Katie: I'm sorry Rye
Rye: I don't care about your apology
Katie: please Rye
Rye: you see what hurts the most is the fact that you thought I would tell someone about your life
His voice cracked half way through his sentence
Katie: I just thought-
Rye: you thought I was capable of doing something like that
I shook my head
Katie: I thought maybe it was a way of saying you didn't like me like that
He looked at me and walked up to me
Rye:Katie I fell for you the first day I set eyes on you I couldn't hate you or hurt you in anyway
He said placing a hand on my cheek
Katie: then why can't you date me
Rye: because you are too good for me
I just smiled and kissed him gently and he kissed back
Katie: don't think like that
Rye: will you be my girlfriend then
I smile and nod he smiles slightly then winces in pain I frown
Katie: I'm sorry
Rye: it's fine but let's go back in and have fun
We walked back in to see we were playing bench ball
Courtney: Katie you're on the bench
Katie: but I can't catch
She ignored me and I made my way to the bench my hands were getting clammy Rye walked behind me I stood on my bench and faced everyone Rye stood in front of me
Rye: oh hey didn't see you there
I put on a fake smile and looked away the next thing I know a ball hit me in the face
Courtney: catch the ball for gods sake
I looked down Rye then lifted my chin up
Rye: ignore her ok
I nodded and we carried on I didn't catch the ball
Kiera: oh my god
Katie: well you do it then
I got off the bench and walked out
Rye: Katie wait up
I stopped and turned around he just hugged me
Katie:it's so annoying Rye
Rye: I know sweet
The bell rung meaning it was time for gym we walked to the gym and we had a cover teacher
Mrs W: hey Katie how are you
Katie: I'm good thanks
Mrs W: that's good well me and Ruth are walking around the field why don't you and Rye join us
I nod and look at Rye he nods too we all walk outside and talk about school
