Medieval Au (long Story)

Read this whilst listening to 'A thousand years' by Christina Perri.

Part one.

Hermione Granger lives in a small cottage within the castle walls she works as a stable hand to the Royal horses. She loves her job because she loves animals. Hermione is extremely intelligent and hard working. Her family don't have lots of money but she isn't a materialistic person anyways. She is thankful for what she has. She lives with her parents her father who is the royal blacksmith and her mother who is a dress maker.Hermione loves her family very much.

The king is Lucius Malfoy who rules with Narcissa Malfoy the Queen. They also have a son the same age as Hermione Prince Draco Malfoy.

Hermione sees the royals allot especially the Prince as he rides all the time but they rarely ever talk to her. Her favourite horse is the prince's horse Lighting he is a jet black stallion with a long wavy mane and a white lightning bolt shaped birth mark on his side. Hermione could spend all day with that horse plaiting it's black locks. That horse has better hair than her!

When Hermione is not with the horse's she is in the castle library looking for more books to read and expand her knowledge with. She especially loves fairy tales as when she reads them she falls into the time and place the story is set and can imagine herself as the characters. Hermione likes the idea of being able to be whoever you want to be with reading a book.

The Prince enjoys riding very much it is his escape from all the Royal duties bestowed onto him. He would much rather prefer to be out on the many acres of country side with lightening galloping around in the sun than have to attend Royal ceremonies.

The Prince has very little friends because everyone is to scared to approach him because he is royalty which is very frustrating for him. He just wants to be treated like a normal person not some sort of God.

He has never tried to make friends before because it's almost impossible most people would think it was a command or something like that. Hermione on the other hand has three very close friends Harry who is the horses vet, Ron who owns the pub 'mischief managed' with his twin brothers Fred&George and her best friend Ginny who is a waitress at her older brother Ron's pub.

Hermione's father had to leave early this morning due to a order from the King for new horse shoes for Lightening which Hermione will have to organise to get fitted. Her mother was still in the house though so her and her mum had breakfast together before Hermione had to be at the stables.

When she arrived she busied herself with cleaning out the stalls, putting new straw down, new feed and new water too. She did this whilst singing a tune to herself she didn't even realise that she wasn't alone anymore until,

"Nice voice you have their miss Hermione."

She turned around to see Prince Draco by the stables entrance.

"Thank you your majesty." she blushed in embarrassment of the situation "Are you having a good morning?"

"Yes thank you what about yourself?"

"Good I have prepared all of the stalls for the horses, Lightening is ready to ride if you want him your majesty."

"Thank you miss Hermione and please call me Draco." he smiled.

"In that case Draco please call me Hermione." she returned the smile.

"I will be taking Lightening out for a ride then I will see you later Hermione."

"Yes oh do you know that Lightning is getting new horse shoes fitted today?"

"Is he?"

"Yes my dad is the blacksmith and had to leave early this morning because the King ordered some new horse shoes for Lighting I suspect they shall be ready later though."
