Kiss it better

Hermiones parents are dentists and due to Hermiones bucked teeth they made her wear braces. Hermione told her parents that she could easily fix her teeth with magic but her parents wanted to do it the muggle way. Hermione was fitted with her new train tracks in 6th year.

Nobody had really noticed Hermiones new braces it was only when she spoke that people noticed them anyways and she mainly only spoke to her friends and the teachers. Hermione wasn't exactly going to go around and brag about her new braces. She made a pact not to speak to Lavender Brown or the Patil twins so that rumours about her new 'metal teeth' as Ron called them wouldn't be spread around.

Hermione was a Gryffindor prefect and was proud of it she loved the responsibility and the chance to challenge herself. A challenge she certainly got when she was assigned to do prefect duties with Draco Malfoy of all people. Hermione thought that Draco was a horrid pompous arse so wasn't best pleased when she was told. Apparently nobody else wanted to work with Draco especially the Hufflepuffs who seemed to be scared of him. Hermione was the only person left who hadn't worked with Malfoy previously.

When Draco was told that he had to work with Hermione Granger of all people he couldn't believe it. Draco knew that he was a challenge to work with. He hated doing protrols with Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors were just plain annoying. Ravenclaws were ok to work with as long as they shut up and didn't blabber on. He was positively pissed when here was told he had to patrol with Granger famous mudblood and 1/3 of the golden trio.

Draco had enough to put up with this year never mind being forced to patrol every few nights. Draco had a task to let death eaters into Hogwarts and to kill Dumbledoor. Draco didn't want to kill Dumbledoor he actually didn't mind the guy apart from the fact that he was more than a bit weird. He knew that by letting the death eaters into the castle that lots of people would get hurt and possible killed he really hated being forced to be a death eater. He didn't want them to kill his mother though so he had to it. 

It was after dinner when Hermione met up with Draco outside of the great hall they both scowled at each other.

"Let's get this over with I can't stand being near you Granger with all your muggle germs so let's make this quick." Draco said sneering.

Hermiones eyes blazed at the insult to her muggle heritage. Draco smirked when he saw that he had annoyed Hermione. She kept her mouth shut because she didn't want him to see her braces even though she had a perfect retort in mind for the snake. Hermione rolled her eyes and walked ahead of Draco.

Draco didn't like not being in the lead however he could hex her from behind but that was a bad idea as Mcgonagal was sure to find out.

"Oi! I walk in front not you." Draco shouted at Hermione.

"Could you be any louder Malfoy do you want to attract attention or are you just stupid." Hermione snarked. She was still ahead and he couldn't see her teeth.

 "How dare you call me stupid you idiotic mudblood." Draco caught up to Hermione with inhuman speed and pushed her back into the wall.

Hermione tightened the hold she had on her wand ready to hex Malfoys balls off if she had to. She wasn't scared of him she was just constantly angry and annoyed with him. Hermione Granger would never let herself be afraid of an idiot like Draco Malfoy.

"Get off me now you asshole before I make you." Hermione snarled at Draco whilst positioning her wand to point at his waist. She was seriously considering hexing off his balls.

Draco gave out a little Yelp like some kind of scared puppy and jumped back off Hermione. He looked like he had seen a ghost and Hermione looked around confused to see if she could see Peeves anywhere but nothing. It wasn't until Draco pointed at Hermiones mouth that she understood that he had seen her braces.
