It was another ordinary day at Hogwarts nobody thought it was special. Everyone went about their business the same way.

Hermione got to class early as per usual even before Professor Slughorn. But soon after everyone started to arrive the Gryffindors were first then the Slytherins slowly made an appearance.

Last into class was the famous Slytherin trio Draco, Blaise and Pansy.

"Welcome class can anyone tell me what we are brewing today?"

Hermione's hand was up like a shot she was always keen to answer all questions in class.

You could hear the sighs from the Slytherins over her joy. Draco and his friends could also be heard muttering things like 'bookworm' and 'know it all'.

" Yes Miss. Granger?"

"We are brewing Amortentia sir it is said to be a love potion however that isn't strictly true. It is said every person smells something different from the potion. The thing they smell is meant to link to the thing they are attracted to most or are obsessed with the most."

Hermione stepped up closer to the deep pink potion bubbling in the cauldron and sniffed it.

" For example I smell apples, spearmint toothpaste and....... " she blushed and quickly backed away from the potion.

" Thank you Miss Granger now I want the rest of you to line up and tell me what you smell starting with Harry please."

They formed a line and Harry went up to the cauldron and smelled it.

" I smell a broomstick, coconut hair shampoo and grass. " Harry blushed when he realised that described Ginny.

The rest of the class went along in the same way it was a very embarrassing class for everyone especially when the person you loved was actually in the room.

It was Draco's turned next and as he stepped up to the cauldron they was one person in peculiar watching his every movement and listening to his every word.

Hermione knew who she had smelt from her potion. The apples, the toothpaste and the other thing she smelt was hair gel they all added up to one person........ Draco Malfoy.

"I smell quill ink, books and hmm I don't really know what the last one is." Draco said but it was clear to Hermione that his ears had turned slightly red.

Class finished soon after leaving both Hermione and Draco knowing who they truly loved.......... Each other!
