Hermione hasn't seen Draco Malfoy in 5 years since the battle of Hogwarts. The last moments she had saw him he had given his wand to Harry then left along with his parents. Hermione had seen the daily profit articles about Lucius being sent to Askaban leaving Naricissa and Draco alone at the manor. She had heard that Draco had became a healer and that he had rebuilt his life and she was happy for him.

Draco hadn't seen Hermione Granger in 5 years since the final battle when she helped her best friends defeat Voldermort. He felt like a coward during the war he remembers how he stood by and watched as Hermione was tortured in his house by his auntie. He had heard that she didn't get together with Weasley and that she was the one to break things off. He knows as it was all over the daily prophet. Hermione is now working up to becoming the minister of magic but at the minute she is the head of magical creatures and helps Luna (looney love good as Draco remembers her.)

It was midnight and the last train to London that Hermione could get. She had been on holiday up North and decided to use muggle transport. Muggle transport helped her to remember her childhood and it was always fun to be able to sit and relax on a train once in a while. She got on the final train heading into Kings Cross which deffinatly brought back memories. She would then be going back to her muggle appartment before starting back at work in 2 days.

Draco had been working a grueling shift at St Mungos and was told finally that it was his weekend off. Draco was going to London for the weekend not really for any particular reason other than he hadn't been in ages and wanted a change of scene. He would have gone to the manor but he thought his mother probably needed a break as well, a break from him. Draco didn't want to apperate to London he hated the feeling so he decided to embrace muggle culture and get the last train to London.

Carriage E seat 44 Hermione sat and read her novel sipping coffee out of a thermal flask as the train ploughed on. Draco had been seated in carriage D since arriving on the train at a station in Scotland but the snoring of another passenger was driving him bonkers. Getting up out of his seat Draco made his way in carriage E.

Carriage E was completely empty appart from a few silently sleeping passengers they was only one conscious person.

Just as Draco had walked into the carriage Hermione looked up and to say she was surprised would be a very big understatement. Draco pure blood Malfoy stood just a few meters away from her on a muggle train. She knew he had changed Harry had even said so but this was taking the blooming biscuit.

Silver met hazel as their eyes met across the carriage it looked like Draco was just as confused. Hermione was the first to look away as she turned to bookmark her book and place it down on the table in front of her. Draco managed to get out of his shock when she removed her eyes from his and made his way over to her.

"Granger is that really you ?" He was still making sure that he wasnt having some kind of hallucination.

"Yes it's really me Malfoy wow I haven't see you in 5 years."

"Wow this is weird fancy the odds of being on the same train at the same time."

"They is like a 1% chance that this would ever happen."

"Still a bookworm I see." He pointed to her book then looked at the seat across the table from her,"Can I sit?"

"Yes of course."

Draco took a seat across from Hermione and placed his bag in the seat facing the aisle mirroring Hermione.

"So what brings you here Malfoy?"

"I'm visiting London for my weekend off what where you doing up North?"

"I was on a little holiday in the lake district and went to see Hadrians wall it's amazing there." Her eyes sparkled as she talked about her get away like they always did when she spoke about something she loved.
