Hermione knew that the ugly scar on her forearm would never go away Bellatrix had made sure of it. Hermione knew that she couldn't do much to hide the mark. They was nothing in the wizarding world that could help her. She decided that going to get a tattoo around the mark to make it into a statement, something to not be afraid of anymore or to be hurt by anymore would be a good idea.

Hermione went into muggle London to a tattoo parlour that Luna had been too before. Luna had gotten a butterfly on her arm when she went ,apparently it was good for nargle hunting. Hermione was looking for something beautiful and colourful to stand out against the horrid scaring on her forearm. Hermione thought gypsophelia flowers would be nice along with some multi coloured chrysanthemums .

"Hi welcome what would you like today?" The woman behind the desk asked.

"Hi I'm here for my appointment with Diane at 2pm." Hermione said politely.

Hermione was taken into the tattooing area by the receptionist when the tattooist was free. Hermione sat herself down on the tattooing table whilst the artist got her to sign some forms.

"Ok Miss Granger is this you first tattoo?" Diane asked.

"Yes it is." Hermione answered.

"Ok how good is your pain tolerance and where will the tattoo be going today?"

"My pain tolerance is very high and also my tattoo will be here." Hermione pointed to her forearm, "It's to make my scar more beautiful."

The tattooist knew better than to question the scar and just got to work on Hermiones tattoo. Compared to the crucious curse and being tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange Hermione didn't even feel a thing. After around an hour and a half of work her tattoo was done.

Hermione looked down on her mudblood scar and for the first time she felt better about it. She felt like it was something to be proud of because it showed that she had survived. The White of the gypsophelia's glowed against her skin and the pinks of the chrysanthemums looked beautiful. Her scar was framed by the beautiful flowers and for the first time in ages she smiled whilst looking at herself in the mirror. She didn't feel ashamed.

Hermione worked at the ministry of magic as the minister. She loved her job she took her work very seriously like she always had. Harry and Ron were part of the auror department and to many peoples surprise Draco Malfoy also worked at the ministry. Draco works in the magical creatures department which is very ironic considering the whole Buckbeak incident in third year.

Draco and Hermione had became friendly because of working in the ministry.      They had talked a few times when at worked about ways to help improve magical creature wellfare, in which Hermione was very passionate about.

Hermiones tattoo was healed by the time she went back to work after her brief holiday time off. It was a Monday when Hermione went back into the office, nobody had seen Hermiones new tattoo yet. Hermione wore a short sleeved cream blouse and black skirt as she strolled through the the ministry she had never wore anything showing her wrist since before Voldermorts death.

As she walked to her office many people stared at her because not only did she look beautiful but she was showing a now healed part of herself that was once broken. When Hermione reached her office her assistant complimented her on her tattoo saying that it was very beautiful. Hermione was happy that for once someone was complimenting her arm instead of  feeling bad about the scar.

Draco was busy with a special case and needed Hermiones opinion so arranged with her  assistant to have a meeting with her. He knew that Hermione would feel especially passionate about this special project as it was about the care of elves in and out of the workplace. Draco knew just how much Hermioned loved elves especially Lucius' old elf Dobby.
