DRAMIONE ONE SHOTS!

Slytherins champion seeker

Hermione was in the quidditch stands with Luna. They had been walking and talking about Lunas newest edition of the Quibbler where it is explained about nargles. Hermione loved Luna very dearly she was a great friend even if she is a bit odd. Hermione and Luna had been walking around the castle for quiet a while and both were getting tired. 

The quidditch field wasn't very far away so both of the girls went and took a seat in the stands. That's when they noticed that the quidditch pitch was occupied with Slytherin players it was a practice session for them. 

Draco was one of the Slytherins who was in practice  after all he was Slytherins best seeker. Draco noticed when two people sat in the stands but couldn't make them out as he searched for the golden snitch. 

Hermione took out Hogwarts A History and began to read as Luna watched the Slytherin match muttering about all of the magical creatures that were flying around the players heads. The Slytherins cheered as Draco Caught the snitch attracting Hermiones attention. Hermione peered over her book to see Draco being congratulated by Blaise Zanbini and Pansy Parkinsion. 

Draco was being congratulated and was happy for catching the snitch in practice hopefully next time he would get Potter. As he was catching a breath he looked over to the stands and saw Hermione Granger peeking over the top of a book. He saw Looney Lovegood sat next to her but didn't pay much attention as he was too confused as to why goody two shoes Granger would be in the quidditch stands. Where were Potter and Weaslebee? 

When everyone left the pitch Draco decided to stay behind for a bit. He saw Luna saying goodbye to  Hermione and leaving. Luna had to go because she was meeting Neville to help him in the greenhouses for Mrs Sprout. Hermione said she was just finishing up and would see Luna tomorrow and to have fun. 

Draco decide since it was just him and Granger he might as well torment her so he headed up to the stands. Hermione was silently reading her book she was on an interesting chapter on the forbidden forest when she heard the unmistakeable voice of Draco Malfoy.

"What's the brains of the golden trio doing all on her own near a snakes den?" 

"Bugger off Malfoy I was only reading." 

"Reading what?" He scoffed.

"Hogwarts A History." 

"At least you have good sense in something." 

"What on Earth are you twittering about Malfoy?" She screeched .

"The book Granger obviously and to think your meant to be smart." He rolled his eyes.

"If your just being a nusence you can leave Malfoy your practice was over ages ago now." 

"Paying attention were you." Draco smirked.

"Bit hard not to when all I could hear was them all cheering for you because you caught the snitch." 

"Jealous Granger."

"Of flying? Hardly." She scoffed.

"What's wrong with flying Granger ?" 

"Everything, it's dangerous not to mention stupid who would willingly go up on a broom I would only go on a broom if I had too." She said matter of factly.

"Your scared aren't you Granger?" 

"Scared of what?" 

"Heights obviously, that's why you hate to fly."

"If I was that scared of heights I wouldn't be in these stands these are high up as it is ,anyways I ride on the back of Buckbeak in third year." 

Draco's eyes widened, "You rode that monster ? You must be crazier than I first thought." 

"Buckbeak is not a monster Malfoy it was you who wanted to get the poor creature killed." She said haughtily 

"It nearly killed me!" Draco said shocked at her.

"Buckbeak broke your arm Malfoy he certainly didn't kill you." She rolled her eyes," Besides you were milking your injury for sympathy for ages Harry didn't even complain when he had to have his arm regrown. Thankfully that's not happened to you our you would have killed everyone in Hogwarts with your whining." 

"Hey! I wasn't milking it that much gosh Granger it still hurt."

"Bit like a punch to the face then?" She started to laugh at that look on his face. 

Hermione couldn't believe that she was having a civil conversation with Draco Malfoy never mind willing joking around with him. Draco knew she was just being playful and took her book from her hands.

"Stop laughing will you before you hurt yourself. I would rather not have to explain to Potter and Weaslbee." 

"Hey! Give me my book back Malfoy." 

Draco wasn't listening he was reading the page that Hermione had been on it was about werewolves. It made him remember about professor Lupin in third year and all the mess that happened then. Hermione watched him as he stood over her looking at the page in the book. 

"What happened to you in third year?" Draco asked looking at Hermione from over the book in a similar way to what she did before.

"What part are you on about? A lot happened that year."

"Well at the end of the year you had your arm wrapped up like it was sprained or broken and cuts all over your face." 

"Oh well me and Harry had to save Ron but ended up having a fight with the Whomping willow tree. Then we found Professor Lupin in his werewolf form and I had to calm him briefly. " 

"You calmed down a blooming werewolf?!" 

"I guess so." She shrugged. 

"And you say flying is stupid and dangerous." He muttered.

"Well it wasn't exactly like I wanted to but any ways we better be going I don't want Filch on my back for this." She said.

"Filch? What time is it ?" 

"Almost curfew now come on Malfoy." Hermione said standing and heading down from the stands.

Draco and Hermione exited the stands after a surprisingly civil conversation. Draco gave her book back but not before secretly putting a note in it on the werewolf page she was on.

Our first civil conversation, should be in the record books!

Draco and Hermione both headed back into their common rooms just in time narrowly avoiding Filch. When Draco went into his dorm he thought how oddly nice it was to have a civil conversation with Granger and that she was actually quiet interesting. He bets that she has lots of stories to tell about running around with Potter and Weaslbee and getting the idiots out of trouble.

When Hermione got into her dorm after being questioned by Harry and Ron for where she has been, she opened up her book back onto the page that she and Malfoy were reading. She noticed the writing on the page straight a way. At first Hermione was livid that Malfoy would dare defile a book but didn't mind after reading it and actually had to bite her cheek to not laugh at the Slytherin champion seeker comment. Maybe he was alright after all.
