It was Thursday morning. Dallas and I both had the day off. We decided that it would be more productive if we both decided to help me get packed. I was so excited to get to Kentucky, I knew that I'd forget something if I didn't have help.
"How much do you need to pack?" She asks.
"I guess just one bag. I mean, I can always buy more stuff when I'm on the road" I answer. She agreed.
"Do that then. It will be easier on both of us" She says. She was right. I practically let her pack for me. She was the more organized in between the two of us.
"Okay" I say.

Hours had passed and all I was waiting for now was being able to go to the airport tomorrow. I had no clue how long my flight to Kentucky would be, but I was trying to get prepared for it. I knew I wasn't going to be able to sleep, I was too excited. I would probably just listen to a lot of music on the flight, and think about how much fun the next few months were going to be. I had never been more excited for something in my life. I had a strange feeling that something really amazing was going to come out of this trip. I didn't know what, but the feeling never went away.

It was 4am. I had to be at the airport at 6am for the flight. I woke up with a notification from Twitter. Alessia had mentioned me in a tweet. When I looked at the tweet, it was a picture of she and I sharing an ice cream cone when we were around four years old. Her tweet read: "can't wait to share ice cream cones with you again, cuz!". It made me happy that she was equally as excited as I was.I immediately texted her.
River: It's 4am! Let the countdown begin!
She responded immediately.
Alessia: I've already got the ice cream!
I smiled and went downstairs. I made my normal breakfast. A blueberry bagel and coffee. I was just hoping time would pass fast enough for me to hurry to the airport.
The clock was slowly, but surely ticking away. I was about to leave for the airport. I hugged Dallas goodbye and told her that I would call her as soon as I could. I then got in my car and drove away.

I was already on the airplane when I decided to take out my phone and play some music. I played old songs that Alessia and I used to sing together. I could barely contain my excitement.***
I had falled asleep on the airplane. Thankfully, there was a flight from Canada directly into Kentucky. Alessia was picking me up from the airport.I grabbed my suitcase and walked out to the front. I saw a small crowd of people. I could only guess that that was her talking to some fans. I had been with her when she's been recognized before, so I just waited until they all left. Soon enough, the crowd was gone.
"River!" She exclaims when she sees me. She ran and leaped into my arms and squeezed as tight as she could.
"I can't remember how long it's been since I've hugged you, but I know it's definitely been to long" I say. We weren't letting go of each other any time soon.
"That it has" She says. I finally pull away. "Come on, let's get you to the hotel".
We got into her Uber and drove back to the hotel she was at. We were both on cloud nine. I couldn't wait to see what the next couple months had in store for us.
