Chapter Fifteen

***River's POV***

Shawn and I had enjoyed our day out. It was much needed for us. I was so so in love with him.

"Will you stay with me tonight?" He asks. We were sitting on his couch on the very too floor. Alessia and I's room was a few doors down.

"Are you sur1e that's a good idea? Alessia is right down the hall" I say.

"Shes next to us all the time. She doesn't know, and she doesn't have too right now. Stay" He says. He kissed my cheek. I smiled.

"Okay" I say and nuzzle into him. He nuzzled his head into me and kissed my neck slowly.

"River?" He says still kissing me.

"Yes?".

"Have I ever told you that you're the most beautiful woman in the world, and I love you more than anything?" He says. He was still nuzzling my neck.

"I love you" I say. He gripped my chin and turned my head to face him. He kissed me slowly, it soon turned aggressive as the fire ignited between he and I. I pulled away for a second. In this moment, I loved Shawn more than I ever had loved another person before

"S-Shawn?" I say.

"Yeah?" He asks.

"I-I want to go there" I say. The corners of his lips turn up slightly. He begins kissing me again. I knew this was going to be a night that I never wanted to forget.

I woke up the next morning in Shawn's arms. Our clothes were still lying in the floor where we had thrown them the night before. I didn't want to wake him, but I knew I needed to get back to my room to shower and change. I was going to the venue with Alessia for her meet and greet and soundcheck today. I managed to get my clothes on without waking him. When I got to my room, Alessia was sitting on the couch. The room was dead silent. Just her on the couch starting straight ahead. She looked up at me. Her eyes were red, she had been crying.

"River, we have to talk" She says. My heart skipped a beat when I heard her say those words.

"What's wrong?" I ask sitting down next to her. I grabbed her hand to comfort her.

"Before I tell you this, I want you to know that it doesn't change anything between you and I. You're my family and I love you so so much" She says. Her hands were shaking in mine.

"You're scaring me" I say.

"I know you've said before that you didn't want to know about what happened with me and Shawn, but I can't not tell you" She says. When she mentioned Shawn, I felt tears rush to my eyes.

"Alessia, please. You don't have to tell me anything" I say. She shakes her head tears had began to stroll down her cheeks.

"I do" She says. "You've been getting close to Shawn and I don't want what happened to me to happen to you".

"I-I...what are you talking about?" I ask.

"River, Shawn isn't who you think he is" She says. I knew she was serious because she used my full name and not my nickname. "He comes off as the sweetest guy that would do anything for you, but he isn't".

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"When Shawn and I first met, he became my bestfriend. I spent all my time with him. I fell fast and hard, and u thought he felt the same way, but about a month or two later I found out that it was an act" She says. Tears were falling down my cheeks now.

"How?".

"Shawn and I...We...We had...We had sex, and then after that, that's all we ever did. I-I had a couple scares" She musters up. My heart broke in two.

"You were pregnant?" I ask through tears falling from my eyes. We were both sobbing.

"No. No, I was just...I was just late each month, I guess" She says.

"I-I don't even know what to say to you right now" I say standing up off the couch bring my hands to my head. "Why didn't you tell me?".

"I didn't when it was happening because I didn't want you to think less of me, but after I saw you and Shawn...I-I knew that I needed too" She says.

"This has nothing to do with Shawn, right now. This is you and I. I can't even be mad at you because I understand, but we never ever have secrets" I say. She was still in tears.

"I know, and I am so so sorry for not telling you, but I felt like a slut, and I couldn't-".

"I don't care what you choose to do with your body, it's yours and no one can tell you what you can and can't do with it" I say. "I care about you, though. Don't be afraid to tell me something like that". She was silent for a minute or two. I sat down beside her.

"Are you mad at me?" She asks. I stayed quiet for a minute. She knew me well enough to know that if I was quiet, I wasn't very happy.

"I-I don't know how I'm feeling. I wish you had told me and been honest, because since when do you and I have secrets? But, i also just want to hug you because of what happened" I say.

"I know we don't have secrets. I mean, you're nothing but truthful with me, and you deserve the same respect in return" She says. I stayed quiet FOR another minute or two.

"Shit" was all I could manage to say.

"What?".

"Damn it!" I yell and hit the couch next to me. I knew what had to happen next. It was time for me to tell Alessia about Shawn.
